#tiffanys2021sipdown Tea #58 overall / Tea #25 for February

Wednesday 2/17 — Another cold-brew pitcher done! I actually had to use the last of this bag I’m counting as the sipdown and open a new bag in order to have enough to make the pitcher. Harts of America really makes a lot of classy simple fresh herbal tisanes. :)

#tiffanys2021sipdown Tea #57 overall / Tea #24 for February

Wednesday 2/17 — Pulled this out to have for Mastress Alita #2021steepstersipdown prompt on Feb 1 (“Monday, February 1st: National Freedom Day / Black History Month – If you have a tea from a black-owned business (check out this highly recommended thread!: https://www.steepster.com/discuss/41383-supporting-black-owned-businesses-tea-companies), drink it today! Alternatively, drink a favorite black tea!”).

Last two DAVIDsTEA perfect spoons brewed with milk + water on stovetop & had with my breakfast. Delightful latte treat I’ve been sipping on the last few weeks making it the same way each time until the tea was gone today.

So this is my description 2/17/21 as I put this in the steepster system…This is a traditional black tea chai from Plentea Tea Bar located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada area. I was able to select between black and rooibos base (I chose black) and what extra ingredient (I chose cardamom pods), and they put it in a bag with a chai spice bases of their own. I bought this bag in October 2019.

#tiffanys2021sipdown Tea #56 overall / Tea #23 for February
#drinkwhatyouown January slot 23/25

Tuesday 2/16 — One of my earliest Sipsby boxes (I started sipsby fall 2017, so from late 2017/early 2018) I got 4 sachets of this. I’m not a black tea or earl grey gal so this got put in my large box of sipsby teas. As I’m trying to be more mindful and sipdown my 342049432904830943 overall collection of teas this was pulled out for a black tea option. Steeped 2 teabags as loose tea in my DT favorite tumbler before work and been sipping on it all shift long (2 pm-10 pm).

#tiffanys2021sipdown Tea #55 overall / Tea #22 for February

Monday 2/15 — Found another open DT 2 oz bag, but instead of the last one that 8 or more ounces, this one only had maybe 1 oz? Since I had a very ripe/mushy banana, tons of that chocolate oat milk (good thing that stuff is shelf stable until opened), I dumped those in the blender with the contents of this bag. Had it with my dinner of veggie soup (started out a potato leeks creamy soup, ended up a general veggie creamy soup LOL) + big chunk of homemade bread from my boyfriend’s family toasted in toaster oven + big hunk of butter to melt on it.

I pretty much always start each morning with a matcha smoothie. :-)

#tiffanys2021sipdown Tea #54 overall / Tea #21 for February

Sunday 2/14 — I am not a black/rooibos/white fan (more of a oolong/green/herbal fan) but my boyfriend got a SCOBY for Christmas so we started making kombucha. This was a sample bag(6 grams) from last fall (2020) Virtual Tea Festival. This is the one I brewed the night of 2/14 when my boyfriend requested a new plain hot black tea for our kombucha… nice way to easily sipdown a tea I’d normally just pass over when I have 1032492834823408324 different teas.

Sunday 2/14 — I am not a black/rooibos/white fan (more of a oolong/green/herbal fan) but my boyfriend got a SCOBY for Christmas so we started making kombucha. This tea was brewed from January probably around Friday 1/15 but I never logged it until now. This was a sample bag(1/2 oz) from last fall (2020) Virtual Tea Festival.

Sunday 2/14 — Another cold-brew pitcher, this one was one of the 4 teas in my January Amoda subscription box. This one is simply Pai Mu Tan white tea, peppermint, chamomile, rose petals, lavender. Most of the ingredients I’m not fond of (well mainly the chamomile and rose petals)..I wouldn’t be purchasing this tea again but it was a pleasant refreshing floral/herbal blend during the chaos that was a weekend at work. :)

#tiffanys2021sipdown Tea #51 overall / Tea #18 for February

Sunday 2/14 — Another cold-brew pitcher/2 oz silver DT bag done. I think I like Passion Punch better than this one? Maybe I just didn’t brew this one strong enough? Nothing else to say, we were sold out for the first time in a year so the weekend was a blur from work. :)

#tiffanys2021sipdown Tea #50 overall / Tea #17 for February

Saturday 2/13 still busy in life + always sipping on multiple teas but unfortunately need to keep working on sipdowns!! I am catching up today (2/16) on a few I made since last time I updated steepster..this is a tea I just added to the site. :)

So from mid 2010 to late 2015 (approx 5.5 years) I lived in NYC. I love NYC so much and I would try to visit at least 1x a year since I left… except for 2020 I’ve been able to do so (last visit was 2019). At the Union Square Greenmarket there was this Tweefontein Farms booth that was selling all kind of stuff but even herbal tisanes, they had giant orange sports Gatorade size containers (like they put water and such or dump over people’s heads in celebration for sports) where you could get a cup already made, or they had this glass jars like in the picture where you could purchase the loose leaf. This is one of two tisanes I’d always grab a jar or two of when I’d be back to visit NYC, but somehow they’ve collected and I need to sipdown. I’ve been cold brewing directly into cold water in a pitcher then using a filter to get the pieces out before drinking the tea.

#tiffanys2021sipdown Tea #49 overall / Tea #16 for February

Thursday 2/11 finished a cold brew pitcher of this tea (6 DT perfect spoons in a pretty DT floral tin), back when this came out it was a favorite and I bought a lot. A little slower on sipdowns after a good start at the beginning of the month—need to find my box of teabags/single serves, #drinkwhatyouown advent calendar, etc. to up my numbers. :)

Been a huge fan of tea since spring of 2016.

Likes: herbal (tisanes), green, oolong, fruity, lemon, bananas, cherry, raspberry, any berries really, dessert, sweet potato, spicy, smoky, earthy, roasted, chai, ginger, cardamom, lavender, rosemary, sage need to keep adding to this.

Dislikes: stevia, chamomile, rose, jasmine, perfume, floral.

I post here and there on Instagram, need to start posting there more regularly.

I love to share/swap/take in homeless teas… if you have something (even if it’s just enough for one cup – for me one cup is a 16-20 oz size) to share / want to swap / etc. feel free to send me a message. I don’t have any allergies and love trying new things! :)
