#tiffanys2021sipdown Tea #141 overall / Tea #12 for April
Friday 04/09/21 — good earth sweet & spicy teabags 8 in old brew 32 oz pitcher. I remember enjoying this tea before hot but I made a pitcher enough for Micah and I to have a cold brew mug. It was strong but good, I know he enjoyed the cinnamon to it.

Thursday 04/08/21 —— DT Me to We Tea single sachet // hot & plain in 16 oz water. Sometimes it’s nice to sip on something warm. I used hot water from tap at work and sipped later when warm/cool aka easy to manage. Another tea I used to love but now I’ll sip what I have but not sure needs permanent home in my collection.

Tuesday 04/06/21 — Nepal Tea Kanchanjangha Verde (Premium Green). Sample packet cold-brewed for 2 days (3-31 to 4-2). Sipped 4/3, 4/4, and 4/6 (forgot to finish this earlier as I’ve been sipping other teas). I think I over steeped it? But it just tasted like a strong cold-brew green tea.

Monday 04/05/21 — Heavenly Tea Leaves CHOCOLATE ROOIBOS MINT from December 2018 Sipsby box. Cold brew pitcher. Hint of chocolate, hint of sweetness (apple?), hint of rooibos. Another one I could’ve put in the giveaway pile, but I like to keep it within a year or two unless person knows the tea is from X date. In the craziness of my life to support my tea habit you drink this for refreshment and move on.

Monday 04/05/21 — Health-Ade Pink Lady Apple. My boyfriend has been loving the homemade kombucha after one of his relatives gave him a starter jar + SCOBY + etc. for the holidays. Anyway, I’ve done a few Instacart orders to get some different flavors to try out (and then reuse the glass bottles). I had this one at work this afternoon with 6 or so hours of sleep (after a 12 hour shift last night then on an 8-hour shift). I have a headache which I don’t get often so maybe this wasn’t a great idea to drink. It was fine but nothing special that I’d want to repeat. I think I would like to try more unique flavors either form the packaged drinks or even cafes that have their own on tap/bottled.

Sunday 4/04/21 — Tazo Passion Tea sweetened. There were like 4 different listings of the Tazo Passion in steepster and because this was a tiny plastic baggie of maybe 1 1/2 PS worth of Tazo Passion tea with some sort of sweetener in a blob not sure what to categorize this under. Made this cold-brew and mixed it into a cold-brew pitcher of Harts of America Dandelion Mint (like 1/4 or 1/3 Tazo and rest HOA Dandelion Mint). Still too gritty and sweet for me.

Thursday 4/01/21 — Tazo Lemon Loaf—2 teabags from unknown date. I’m basically a loose-leaf tea snob at this point (been drinking tea for almost 5 years now) but I’ll try anything sachets, teabags, bottled drinks, in store/cafe bubble teas/specialty tea drinks, etc… Anywho I’ve been trying to find this tea for a long time. I kept trying to get it 1.5 years ago with my Instacart coupons and then again, a few months ago when they sent me some free $$ again… and my order would be refunded/out of stock every time. sad face I recently got 4 boxes (still from Instacart from a Kroger) so I’m going to use these 2 teabags from who knows when to brew something hot & plain (20 oz trusty DT dark blue tumbler) to have tonight between my 7.5-hour shift tonight, eight hours of rest in between, and then 14.5 hour shift tomorrow. :) — NOTE It wasn’t as tasty as I thought, hopefully it was worth buying four boxes $3.99 each. If not, eh, I’ve spent more money on worse (to me) tea.

You could try 3 bags for 20 oz and for at least 10 minutes. I like this tea, but it never does well with too much water or short steep times.
Thanks for the tip Michelle, I’ll try this next time when I open one of the boxes I just got!
Martin — Eh, I think the longest shift I’ve worked was 20 hours? I’m at a hotel so normally I work 7-9 hours per shift but it has varied especially in past year or so with small team and COVID.
