69 Tasting Notes
I picked up one of the Valentine’s Day heart tins to try with this tea inside. The combination of ingredients seemed strange to me (carrots and raisins?) so I was apprehensive. I tried this one iced and it blew my mind. It tastes exactly like a pink Sweet Tart candy. The first note I get is nicely sweet and fruity and the back note is quite sour just like the candy. I really liked this one and am sad to have missed out on getting more. If this one comes back, I will definitely consider buying some more.
Flavors: Candy, Cherry, Sour, Sweet
Preparation
I picked up a sample of this one to try a few weeks ago. I tried it iced, not expecting much since I don’t tend to like orange or citrus teas (I really disliked Sunny Citrus) but liked it more than I thought I would. It tastes like very sweet artificial orange to me. There’s some other vague fruity flavour that I can’t quite make out in there too. It’s not very tart or sour. All in all, this one was okay but I won’t need to buy any more.
Flavors: Artificial, Fruity, Orange, Sweet
Preparation
I like to cold steep this one and have it iced. Cherry Blossom is a staple in my tea collection and has been since I started drinking tea. I like it hot and love it iced. It’s not too overpowering or too floral and has just the right amount of cherry flavour. I’ll definitely keep buying this one.
Flavors: Cherry, Cherry Blossom, Coconut
Preparation
I had a tea door sample of this one that I picked up months ago to try. I just tried it today and wasn’t wowed. It was okay. I didn’t really taste the chocolate or the strawberries. I mostly tasted rose. The tea smells very fragrant. I left my cup for a while and when I came back, the whole room smelt like roses. Overall, this one was okay but I’m not sad it’s gone and won’t need to buy any more.
Flavors: Rose
Preparation
I picked up a full tin (around 150 g) of this tea when the Chai Collection was released. I liked this one quite a bit. It has a nice vanilla, creamy chai flavour and isn’t overpowered by the chocolate at all. I could definitely taste the spices and cardamon which I liked. I’ve now finished my tin and would consider buying more if this one came back. It’s definitely one of the better chai teas I have tried.
Flavors: Cardamom
Preparation
I tried a sample of this when it originally came out and fell in love. So, I picked up around 200 g and have now finished all of that too. I wish I could have more of this. I like that the strawberry flavour doesn’t taste artificial or like plastic and the rosemary isn’t overpowering at all. I also get a subtle hint of yoghurt creamy flavour that compliments this tea well. Overall, I really liked this one and would buy it again if it came back.
Flavors: Creamy, Strawberry, Yogurt
Preparation
I picked up 100 g of this tea before Teavana closed. I tried it in store and fell in love and it was just as good at home. It has a strong blood orange flavour. I find it is best served iced. I finished my entire tin and wish I could buy more. I will definitely miss this one.
Flavors: Blood Orange
Preparation
I ended up with 200 g of this by buying 4 ice tea kits on sale before Teavana closed. I found this to be an average fruity iced tea. Not bad but nothing special about it. I finished my tin today and am not really going to miss it. I like my Strawberry Lemonade to taste more like strawberries and less like apples. So, while it was refreshing on a hot summer day, I don’t feel the need to get any more even if the option was available.
Flavors: Apple, Strawberry
Preparation
I picked this one up a year and a half ago for Easter on sale. In the 100 g I bought, I was really disappointed to see only 1 jellybean. I’ve tried this tea hot, iced, and way oversteeped and no matter what I do with it, it comes out weak. The only thing I can taste is vague fruity flavour that seems like it’s trying to taste like strawberries without success. I was majorly disappointed and won’t be buying this one again.
Flavors: Fruity, Strawberry
Preparation
I couldn’t get over the taste of this tea. It smells so gross and tastes much worse. It’s an overpowering mix of mint, ginger, and fennel. I’m pretty sure I dislike fennel. My mom wouldn’t even drink this tea when I tried to pass it off to her. The 50 g I had sat for over a year. I’ve finally used it all up and will not be buying more.
Flavors: Fennel, Ginger, Mint
