I had high hopes for this chai. I really did. Vanilla chai sounds amazing. In theory.
Not so much in reality, when it includes licorice?! In my head, those two just do not go together. Nope. No they no do not.
It ruins everything!!! That makes two cups of tea down the drain today. I’m thankful they allow ten gram samples.

I wanted to try this one, but so many people said it wasn’t tasty. I wish we could order samples online! Def. not going for 50g again without having an idea of what it is like.

Seriously, it is not worth it at all. That’s one reason I don’t order from them online if I haven’t tried the tea yet as well. Other companies, I seem to have much better luck with

I generally can’t stand chais that have anise in them either. It just ruins it for me, because suddenly ALL I taste is licorice. Blech. Sorry you had to have that experience!

Yea I’m with you there teataku! in moderation, I don’t mind. But most teas with anise/licorice don’t follow that idea lol

I had the same experience with this one. Great in theory, but sickeningly sweet when brewed.

Indigobloom 10 years ago

M… YUP!!! I tried brewing it for longer to override any sweetness but that clearly was a bad idea haha

Kirkoneill1988 10 years ago

lol. hey indigobloom over-steeping can be a blessing or a curse

There was really no winning with this tea, as much as I hoped it would be great.

Kirkoneill1988 10 years ago

Kirk – haha I don’t blame you!

M, 100% agreed. I’m so glad I didn’t let the girl convince me to buy more
