This isn’t typically the type of tea I would choose, as I’m heavily anti-hibiscus and most of these other ingredients, at least in tea. But I smelled this at the store and loved the fruity medley.

I don’t let this brew longer than five minutes, and honestly, I keep brewing closer to 3.5-4 mins. This keeps the bitter hibiscus and beetroot in check, and the flavor not too tart.

Overall this is terrific in the AM or at night, if you’re watching caffeine intake. I don’t add any sugar/sweetener as some of the fruit pieces add a hint of sweetness to balance out the bitter.

I bet this would be fabulous iced, or in a smoothie!

I’m still working on this from DaisyChubb during the 2012 12 Days of Christmas tea exchange. I love this blend of vanilla and mint!

It’s one I hope David’s Tea (or another tea company could offer a similar one, hint hint, guys) lists for sale during the holiday season. This tea puts me in the right mood for the holidays, which I know are in the distance, but I wanted a refreshing mint cuppa this morning and this fit the bill. Love it!

Mint? Hrm, I so didn’t get mint in here. Just unpleasantly strong spices.

I swear I reviewed this before… weird.

Anyway, this is one of my fave unique blends from Della Terra Teas – and to me, exemplifies the awesomeness of the company. Where else will you find a tea with veggies in it that doesn’t taste like soup?!

I love the smell of this one as it’s brewing – a mix of peach and veggies, just like my grandma’s garden. The flavor is pretty close to the aroma, which is a pleasant experience. The green tea base is the perfect complement to the veggies and peaches.

YUMS!

They are discontinuing this, it’s on a list of teas that are 20% off right now, and they said they aren’t coming back.

Based on this review I thought you might like to stock up. :))

I think this is a work-in-progress. The taste is almost there but not exactly fab or “I-Can’t-Live-Without-Consuming.” The tea almost has too much going on – chocolate, cinnamon, coconut, vanilla. I can taste almost all the flavors but the vanilla…if I think about vanilla in the sip I can taste it. It’s just muted and overpowered by the chocolate and cinnamon. Why mix all these together?

Maybe I steeped it too long. I’ll try it at half the steep (2.5 mins or so) and see what transpires…

I’ve almost bought this tea several times!

This is decent as a citrus-y tea, but definitely better iced than hot! The hot version is heavy on the citrus taste but it doesn’t have much depth. The iced variety somehow allows more citrus flavors to mingle on the palate, and has a pleasant and sweet aftertaste. The green tea base is simple and fresh – a nice complement to the citrus taste.

I got this in a recent swap with Lariel and since I finally have the green light (health-wise) to dive back into the world of tea, I opted for this today.

OMG! Words cannot describe the awesomeness of this tea! I wish it was available year-round! The tea has the right balance of chocolate and mint, with a hint of vanilla. The dry leaves were sticky-looking but smelled amazing – and this brewed cuppa delivers!

Thanks Lariel! I’m hooked!

I can’t believe I’m the first to log this! The pressure’s on… ;)

OK, first off, you should know, if you don’t already, I’m kind of a spiced-plum snob. I love spiced plum tea around Christmastime, either the blend I make myself or the Celestial Seasonings version. (And in that case I usually double-up the tea bags.)

So when I heard Della Terra Teas had a version for the summer, I had to have it! I had hoped to drink it iced, but opted for a hot cuppa today at work.

The flavor is more plum than spiced and is heavy on the hibiscus-tartness. It’s one of those teas in which it’s aroma and dry leaves smell amazing, but the brewed version tastes slightly different than what I was expecting. It’s decent and yummy, but more tart than I was hoping.

I’m going to try it iced and add a little sweetener to the infusion to see if that helps. Stay tuned…

This is my warm-weather, iced tea staple – I love it! It’s funny how you can enjoy a cuppa hot tea, and it’s decent, but when you add ice, it comes alive and seems like a whole different cuppa! This tea is like that. I enjoyed the hot variety, but decided to try it iced one day – and all the sudden, Blackberry Bramble became my #1 Iced Tea Staple!

My only complaint is that I’m using it up far too quickly. But I am drinking multiple infusions of it. I’m just slightly obsessed. :)

I need to ice this one. I’ve been meaning to, but keep forgetting about it. Plus, my iced teas haven’t been great, but I’m not sure if the teas I’ve picked to ice are to blame or me. Ha!

KeenTeaThyme

This is really good iced. I always double the amount of tea I use and I can still get at least two infusions from the leaves. Good luck!

I steeped this for much longer than I should have! I got distracted at work and my tea suffered for it. Although, not too bad, this tea is pretty tough! I ordered more as I really enjoy this iced and there was a sale… So I had to get it, plus I had to try the new Della Terra Teas, right?!

This is very pleasant, and reminds me of summer. Yum!

I love this tea! It’s so delish! I’m glad I stocked up since it’s being discontinued. I can’t imagine how I will cope when my stash is completely empty!

Please see other notes, this is a cupboard fave. :)

Bio

Hello fellow tea fans!
I’ve been a tea enthusiast for years but just recently started brewing my own. I’ve created some blends, and enjoy researching about new teas. I combined my love of tea and writing to create a tea-devoted blog, Keen Tea Thyme. I have been writing for most of my life and am a former journalist with a degree in Communications and Social Psychology, and a minor in Writing. Journalism is in my blood, so that means I’m inquisitive by nature, will double-check sources and/or get a second opinion as needed, but also fair and balanced in my reviews. If my reviews seem more positive, energetic and have high ratings, it’s because I love tea. :)

If you are a tea company, I’d love to review some your tea! Free samples are always welcome so I can fully enjoy the freshest selections. I’m also open to tea swaps as I always have too many teas on hand to drink & would love to share with other tea enthusiasts! :)

My Simple Rating Scale (as of Feb. 2011)
>50: I’m NOT a fan. I could barely finish the cup, if I even did. I wouldn’t even recommend this to my worst enemy. Not worth my time nor yours.

51-65: Good aroma, good flavor. Just nothing pops to give the tea that special kick. Recommended to try; our tasting palates differ.

66-79: Yes, finally, tea – unique flavor profiles, great aroma & flavor. Recommended to try; our tasting palates differ.

80-99: These are cupboard essentials – delicious, aromatic and perfect everyday teas. Re-steepable (beyond at least one steeping). Highly recommended, fun for all ages.

100: These are my favorites, the ones I would take with me if stranded on a desert island. Beyond Highly Recommended.
