I found myself out of Lady Grey, but this is a suitable replacement. The lemon and spice flavor is soothing.

This oolong definitely has a pu-erh-like flavor. The leaves themselves actually look almost identical to the pu-erh I have from McNulty’s – very large and fairly flat leaves. The earthiness is more subtle than the pu-erh, and it has a smooth taste with no astringency.

This is the non-decaf version of a favorite. The stamp on the bag says “Amorous Almond” although I think the listing in the catalog and in the shop just says “Almond” – it might be a bit cheeky, but I like the alliteration better. :) Just the right amount of sweetness and almond flavor. It goes well with soymilk, and sugar would be a great addition too for a real treat.

Just the right amount of smokiness, and it’s great on the 2nd steep. I think I’ll be drinking this one a lot.

drank Plum by McNulty's

Another lovely flavored tea from McNulty’s. The plum flavor adds just the right amount of sweetness. I had it hot, but I think it also would be delicious iced.

drank Wild Cherry Decaf by McNulty's

This is a nice flavored black tea with a candy-like wild cherry flavor. As with many flavored teas, the scent is stronger than the taste, but a little sugar does bring out the flavor a bit more. The wild cherry flavor/scent reminds me of life savers or Luden’s wild cherry throat drops (and I love those!). Yum! I’m giving this room for improvement in my rating, but it is quite good.

I tried this with some soymilk this morning because I was in a rush and wanted to cool it down a little. Delicious! I was afraid the milk would dull the flavors, but it just smooths everything out nicely. I might try a little sugar next time – not too much, since this tea is already a little sweet to begin with.

Somehow I’ve hit on a really tasty blend of spices. Too bad I didn’t measure. But, I think I like anise a lot more than I thought!

drank Cardamom Rooibos by Custom

Backlogging from last night. I crushed up a bunch of cardamom pods and put them in with some rooibos. It’s a nice combination with soymilk and sugar. I’ve been looking at a lot of recipes for Swedish baked goods lately, so cardamom has been on my mind. :)

drank Pumpkin Spice Chai by Twinings

I decided that this has been lingering in the tea cabinet long enough, so I brought a few bags to work. It seems that lower steeping temperature (hot water spigot) and shorter steeping times help this tea.

Cofftea

Interesting! I like hotter and longer steepings for my chais.
