Yum! Very nice almond and cream flavours! Would be even better with a laoshan black base I think. Miss this one.

I believe this sample was old or suffered from Ziploc flavour loss. I received it in a swap and, do to my backlog, waited far too long to sample it. It wasn’t the delight that every other Whispering Pines tea I’ve had is. It’s flavour was so light that I refuse to give it a rating at this time. I will eventually try a fresh sample and use that to determine a rating.

A nice malty yet fruity and slightly bread-y black. Make a good morning cuppa. I had but one cup but I would welcome another should the opportunity arise.

Not bad at all. Love the pistachio. Not as much honey as I have had from other teas. A light biscuit-y flavour but very delicate. I would have this again if this wasn’t a sipdown.

(Does it irritate anyone else that I cannot chose pistachio as a flavour note?)

Spicy, with a very peppery bite. It was dry and not my favourite. Decent, but nothing I’d seek out again. Glad to have tried it though.

When I first had this tea the strawberry and banana flavour was heavy in the cup. It was nicer cold-brewed but still respectable as a hot tea as well. The last cuppa I had as a sipdown was a couple months later and it had developed and astringency that I was not fond of. Farewell old tea.

Decent light sarsaparilla flavour. The marshmallow root really adds a creamy note that enhances the flavour. Well balanced hot or cold brewed. It was easy to sip this one down.

Flavors: Cream, Sarsaparilla

Sometimes you feel yourself sinking into the earth and no amount of effort can free you.
That is just how it is in life. Nothing can be done to change it. Alas. Sorry for my absence.

I had this within the last 2 months. Apologies if my memory of it is not the sharpest. I know that I really enjoyed it. I know it had a beautiful creamy flavour. It really brought Christmas to my mind and I was sorrowed to only have one cup worth of this delight. Someday I will be able to order this and more from Bluebird, but it will not be anytime soon. If you have access to it though I definitely recommend it for you.

This Strawberry tea is lovely! It has a heavy strawberry flavour that is delicious and a lighter pastry/cake-like note that is so very good. I feel as if it resembles a Dammann Freres slightly. I will enjoy this one.

Flavors: Cake, Pastries, Strawberry

Ooh, I ordered a taster size of this. I’m looking forward to trying this, since I’ve never had 52Teas before.

TeaNTees

I find I am liking many more of their teas since the company has changed hands! :)

52Teas

@TeaNTees – you made me smile just now. Thank you.

TeaNTees

@52 Teas :) You’re quite welcome! I am also anxious to try the banana tieguanyin, but I missed out on it. I will try to get someone to swap me some, but do you happen to know if you might reblend it sometime in the future? Thank you Anne!

52Teas

I probably will reblend the banana TGY at some point, but I’m not able to offer you a definitive date just yet.

My number one priority at this point is to keep myself on track with the teas of the week and making sure that the subscription packages are going out in a timely manner. After that, I’m working to get myself all caught up with the Kickstarter campaign obligations – there are still quite a few requested reblends that people purchased through our start up Kickstarter that I need to fulfill as well as some VITs that will be released soon.

And of course, Christmas is coming so I’ll be very busy over the next month working on the Christmas teas and getting those packages out that were pre-ordered through the Kickstarter (which ends very soon!)

Once I get myself to a point where I’m caught up with the Kickstarter obligations, I’ll be able to start thinking about reblends. This is one that will be on the list.

Thanks for the letting me know. I appreciate it!

Retrogamer, tea enthusiast, and all around geeky gal. Let’s have a spot, shall we?

I enjoy most black, green, white, oolong (not too mineral-y), rooibos (green too), and various herbal teas. Oh, & I love guayusa. :}

My most searched for flavours include coconut, maple, melon, lychee, pumpkin, and ANYTHING reminiscent of cake. but I am open to try just about anything. I am not too fond of exceptionally fake tasting peach, grape, or lemon flavours, or Earl Grey teas either.

I have no allergies or food sensitivities.
