From Stash Tea

Good during breakfast, second breakfast, brunch, lunch, supper, dinner. Yes, it’s a breakfast tea, but this is an ideal tea for any time you need a lift. We get why people would want to wake up to this robust blend of black teas (caffeine), but why limit English Breakfast tea to the morning only? We know you would never let the “norm” dictate what you do. You little rebel.

You know what else? English Breakfast tea with milk is a straight-up delight. There are so many ways to dress up this tea, but we’re firm believers that it’s good straight too. Do you know why it tastes so good? It has to be the blend of black teas that combine to make the bold, brisk flavorful tea that has become one of the most famous blended teas in the world.

Just went on a 4 day road trip, and I brought no tea with me. I figured I wouldn’t really be able to brew any even if I brought some (which turned out to be very right). I ended up having this at a restaurant with breakfast one day. It was fine, particularly since I hadn’t had any tea in a couple days. Not something I would buy to have on hand, but not something I would turn down if offered.

Kitchen clean out, lone teabag so no idea of age. Way too mild for my tastes. Reading others reviews, many seem to have the same judgement. I can’t even tell you what it tasted like but maybe that’s because I was in a pre-dawn fog. I ended up combining the brew from my last bag of Yorkshire Tea with Stash’s English Breakfast and was much happier. You know, I haven’t had too many English ‘English Breakfast’ teas but Yorkshire Tea is up there.

Oh man, I really loved that Yorkshire Tea from the SF Tea Fest goodie bag! Surprise winner, that one.

Packets of this were available, in addition to camomile and peppermint tea bags, at my meditation session last night. I went with this and some added milk.

I rarely choose this type of tea at home, but I enjoy it out in the world, especially with added milk or cream.

And then, the whole experience was made even more lovely with a bowl of super sweet individually wrapped milk chocolate bunnies and another bowl of crunchy crust chocolate nut mini Easter eggs.

Stash English Breakfast is one of the few black teas I can buy in this part of Mexico. Scoring a package is difficult because there is more demand than supply. Its not great tea but I have been happy to have it given there are few alternatives different from herbal infusions, which are everywhere.
The tea bags contain just 2 grams of tea each so I brewed it with just 6 oz of water. The tea its self is mild, weak and inoffensive without any bitterness.
Stash English Breakfast is pleasant to drink and the flavor is slightly sweet but is too weak to pick out any outstanding characteristics. If Lipton is 1 star, this one is a two and a half star brew. While it was ok with milk and stevia, I think those who drink their tea black will get more enjoyment from the cup.

Another day at mom’s, another trip through her tea cabinet. First up: Stash English Breakfast.

This is a great breakfast tea, even with Stash Tea Company’s signature taste. It works well in the English Breakfast blend, and makes it taste like a slightly overspiced, but well done, English Breakfast.

It is very well balanced, however, and I still get a good taste of each element, from the black tea base, to the essentials of an English Breakfast, with just a hint of Stash’s signature taste.

For a boxed, bagged English Breakfast tea, this one isn’t quite up to the standard in simple English Breakfast teas, Bigelow. It’s almost like Stash worked too hard to make it taste like a Stash tea. It’s still very good, no doubt.

When people tell me they “don’t like tea,” this is the tea I hold responsible. It’s pretty much every hot or iced tea you ever got at an Ihop or Sherri’s. Bitter, boring, only palatable doused with tons of milk and/or sugar, and unsatisfying. It’s also EVERYWHERE, so it’s probably the flavor that springs to mind when most people think “tea.” Which is sad, because if there wasn’t more out there, none of us would be tea lovers.

I’m not sure why I don’t care for this tea very much. It tastes…thin to me. Not a whole lot of flavor honestly. It feels like I’m drinking lightly flavored hot water rather than a cuppa tea. It will certainly do in a pinch or to go with or after a heavy meal though. Other bagged black teas I’ve tried are much better.

Trying this for the first time. Good “just want some black tea” kind of tea. Nothing too stand-outish about it.

Simply delightful. A hearty cup of English black tea that spreads warmth throughout the entire body.
