94 Tasting Notes
Just getting around to tasting my sample of Get Lean. The color surprised me because the packet said green tea and the color was a brighter green-yellow than I was expecting. I’m guessing now that dandelion root gives that color? Anyway, the whole thing tastes quite medicinal and I’m not much of a fan.
Free sample with catalog! I like this tea, but I don’t love it. It’s fruitiness reminds me of the Mango Ceylon – enough to provide some sweetness but not where I could actually figure out the type of fruit in the cup just by tasting it. Very pleasant to drink, but I probably wouldn’t buy an entire tin.
I’ve mixed this with Earl Grey for as long as I’ve had it, since my first cup of it wasn’t so pleasing. But, I made a pot of just this tea the other day, and it tastes fine. Maybe the sweetness died down over time, or maybe I expected it now, but either way, not bad.
I microwaved some water to enjoy this tea yesterday. Maybe it was the water, maybe it was me, but I wasn’t getting any ginger flavor at all and the sweet pear smell was just overpowering. I’ve loved this tea when I’ve had it before so I’ll have to try it again another time.
