From Stash Tea

Good during breakfast, second breakfast, brunch, lunch, supper, dinner. Yes, it’s a breakfast tea, but this is an ideal tea for any time you need a lift. We get why people would want to wake up to this robust blend of black teas (caffeine), but why limit English Breakfast tea to the morning only? We know you would never let the “norm” dictate what you do. You little rebel.

You know what else? English Breakfast tea with milk is a straight-up delight. There are so many ways to dress up this tea, but we’re firm believers that it’s good straight too. Do you know why it tastes so good? It has to be the blend of black teas that combine to make the bold, brisk flavorful tea that has become one of the most famous blended teas in the world.

Meh. It is not as good as most bagged black teas. In fact, as far as English Breakfast tea goes, the only bagged teas I have found so far that are inferior to the Stash bags are Bigelow and the generic “store” brands. This tea brewed up too weak, and tasting stale, even though I bought a box with a current freshness date on it. Also, the thing I hate the most about it is that the strings always seem to pull loose from the staple in the bag! I guess my bottom line is that I would take this over some generic brand or a cup of Bigelow, but not much else. It’s better than nothing. But not a LOT better than nothing, mind you.

I’m drinking this in place of my usual coffee this morning, and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. I added a little cream and sweetener, and it’s quite lovely – very smooth and mild. It’s very flavorful, and not at all bitter. I like this one a lot.

This is one of my go-to bagged teas. I can brew it without having to think about it and it always comes out right…which is especially handy at work.

A reasonable basic tea, good with diner-type breakfasts. I always take it with sugar/half & half. Do not oversteep! (I’m tempted to try two bags as recommended by several reviewers.)

Ok, so I got some of this tea after I ran out of English Breakfast Black at college and they didn’t have any at the Student Union and this is what I drink on Saturday mornings when I’m just hanging in my room. I have to brew with two bags for more caffeine, and I normally leave the bags to steep the entire time I’m drinking it for added effect. My boyfriend dislikes my coffee drinking habit and the taste of coffee, so this is what I drink when we’re together for my caffeine punch. I also drink this tea during my night class to help keep me awake!

Boiling 8 min or more

My company provides tea and coffee in the breakrooms, and Stash teas are the brand we use. While better than Lipton’s, it’s still a plain black bagged tea. It does suffice to wake one up in the morning if I use two bags to the cup.
