302 Tasting Notes
It’s an OK winning down tea. I don’t think it helps me fall asleep…but I sleep a little deeper on SOME nights after I’ve had some of this. Taste is average. It’s nothing that stands out as good or memorable. Not much Lavender taste. Just…tea tasting.
Preparation
I bought this on the cheap from aldi. It was the Apple fig kind. Ever since living in Turkey as a kid I’ve been chasing the tea they always offer to potential customers in local shops- my parents shopped quite a bit. This was a nice apple tea, but not a must have or must try or anything I would buy again.
Flavors: Apple
Since discovering the Teekane brand and how helpful it was for an upset stomach, I thought I would try other brands. The Teekane one had an issue where the bags kept breaking- although the were super full! This one is not as full but fennel tea has a strong flavor with less anyway. This is a nice fennel tea, if your into it. Almost licorice like and definitely good for you. I guess I liked it….I think after drinking the other one and this so close to each other I was just tired of Fennel.
Flavors: Fennel Seed, Licorice
I was excited to try more of the fruity teas after discovering I really like hibiscus fruity tea….cold. This wasn’t as great and the cherry banana but it was ok. There’s others I would pick over this but it still was worth trying. Just the regular hibiscus taste with a little sourness from the kiwi. Couldn’t pick up much pineapple.
Flavors: Hibiscus, Sour
I’ve never had a tea from Vietnam so I thought this would be fun to try. Black tea is my favorite and I found this one to be enjoyable, although you do have to watch you me steep time as it can get a little astringent if you oversteep. That being said my favorite steep was the last when the tea
Mellowed out. Not one that stands up to milk, a little brisk tasting. It’s nice. Although nothing particularly stood out about it to me.
Preparation
Much beloved fennel tea, that you can find in nearly every store in Germany. I first tried it at work from another brand and found it wasn’t bad. This one tastes like fennel and licorice. It’s meh. But it’s healthy and really helps to settle an upset stomach. I like the other brand I had a little better. This one is really reasonably priced. I paid less than two Euro. But almost all the tea bags busted on me.
Flavors: Anise, Fennel, Licorice
Preparation
Yellow tea?!? I’ve heard of most tea by now…but yellow. Nah. So when I saw What-cha had it and it was at a reasonable price I couldn’t resist. I had to at least try it! My tea tasting is still very beginner…prolly will always be. And that’s OK. This just tasted like green tea to me. It looks like green tea too. Its Ok steeped for a short time with cooler water. But it wasn’t really anything special. But to be honest…my favorite tea is black. I’m happy to have tried it. But I wouldn’t buy it again. Meh
Flavors: Spinach, Vegetal
