Bought this on sale at the grocery store and keep it at the office where tea bags are much more convenient. I keep the brew time on this moderate and drink it warm. It has a strong flavor of ginger and lemon, which I like. The decaf green tea, while not astringent, is sort of bitter. The good is that all the flavoring is authentic and not artificial tasting. The aftertaste is brisk and clean with no off-taste. It would probably make a refreshing iced tea. It’s not a favorite though. I’d like to cut back on caffeine, but I really prefer the taste of non-decaffeinated teas.

This is a really good iced tea. It is a gently spiced sweet and fruity tea. I really love this level of spiciness because I don’t feel like I have to add any milk or sweetener to get full enjoyment, but I can fully taste the spices.

This has been one of my staple teas for awhile. I always make it iced, so it’s great for these hot days. It is sweet and tart with a great berry flavor, and I can still taste the Darjeeling base. There is no artificial aftertaste. It’s a clean taste with a very short crisp aftertaste.

This was one of the first teas that I liked so maybe I’m partial, but I’m surprised at the low ratings here. I’ve never tried it bagged. I buy the loose leaf directly from Numi. The loose tea is gorgeous by the way. Lots of pretty berry pieces and rolled whole leaves. And, I like hibiscus in iced teas. This tea is very similar to the Rishi Raspberry Green. I could keep either one to fill this slot in my cupboard.

drank Sweet Merlot Black Tea by 52teas

I have had this hot and iced. And, I feel this one works equally well either way. It really does give me the impression of drinking a red wine. I find it to be ever so slightly astringent, which lends to the dryness in the taste. It’s not sweet or sour or bitter. It tastes winey with a clean, but maybe ever so slightly sweet aftertaste. It’s a good and interesting tea that I can’t wait to share with friends, but not my favorite flavor. I rarely drink alcohol because I don’t much like the taste in general, but this tea has the best components of the red wine flavor.

drank Blackcurrant Breeze by Twinings

I am a bit disappointed by this tea. It is fruity, smooth, and sweet. Seems like it would be great, but something about this tea just doesn’t taste right to me. Maybe I don’t like blackcurrant. Maybe it’s too sweet. Maybe the flavor is just a hint too artificial for me. Maybe I would like it iced instead of hot. It’s just not my cup of tea.

This is really good. It’s boldly flavored, refreshing, fruity, and sharp. The aftertaste is nicely creamy. I find myself craving another cup. I’m learning that I really enjoy lime flavoring in tea.

I made this one iced using 200°F water, steeping for 2.5 minutes, and storing in the refrigerator overnight. The tea is slightly astringent, but not at all bitter.

This tastes like a softly flavored, slightly creamy earl grey. Not bitter and slightly astringent. Everything about this tea is light. This is so much better than the earl grey stocked where I work. And it doesn’t have the off aftertaste of some cream earl greys I’ve tried. I like this one.

drank Citrus PILEDRIVER by 52teas

This tea is such a lovely surprise. I didn’t expect to like it nearly as much as I do. I am gulping it down hot. I use boiling water with this and have generally been steeping it about 5 minutes, but there is no bitterness or astringency, so I could probably steep it longer. At 5 minutes I’m getting 3-4 steeps with the same leaves. The first 3 steeps taste very similar. The fourth steep has much less citrus flavor, but still tastes good. I use 1 tsp leaves per 1 cup water.

I’m not sure how to describe this. It smells like sweet citrus and tastes like sweet citrus. The base is foresty. It’s not peaty, but more woody or leafy. There is a slight citric sourness to it as you would expect with citrus flavoring. The foresty taste is on the forefront with the main body being sweet citrus. There is little to no aftertaste. Just delicious.

drank Red Hot Cinnamon Chai by 52teas

I’m starting my week off with a pitcher of this iced. I prepared it using water just under boiling and steeped for 2 min 30 sec and then put in the refrigerator overnight.

This is a good chai with a sweet and savory baked goods taste that I like. It is not at all bitter and only slightly astringent in a good way. Cinnamon is definitely the most prominent spice. There is a slight sensation of “hotness” at the back of the tongue in the aftertaste, but the tea is in no way hot nor does it cause my tongue to tingle like eating red hots would. Maybe I should try steeping longer or with more leaf. I tend to be super cautious with CTC teas since I really dislike bitterness.

This tea smells amazing. It smells sweet, sugary, with maybe a hint of vanilla and some sweet exotic fruit like dates. After brewing it still smells amazing.

I drink this at work where I have little control over water temperature. So, I’d have to guess that the water temp is probably around 190°F to 200°F. If I steep this for longer than two minutes it’s just too bitter. It works best if I steep for about a minute. It’s a light tasting tea with much less sweetness than I would expect from the aroma and actually has a little bite. The sweet flavor is more in the aftertaste.

Overall impression is that it’s OK, but too bitter for me.
