drank Rose & Litchi by Fauchon
206 tasting notes

I’m winding down my valentines with this sample from MissB another rose tea :) I was hoping to get to my chrysanthemum puer but I’ll save that for tomorrow:):) anyways I don’t drink greens as much as I used to but this one is so gorgeous I couldn’t resist! The pale pink rose buds were so pretty in this tea. And it pairs amazingly with the lychee! I wonder why this one doesn’t have any reviews except one… Hmm! I found this one to be perfect to wind down my night! The green base tea is so simple that it works perfect with these two other delicate flavors.
Happy valentines day steepsters!

Preparation
170 °F / 76 °C 2 min, 30 sec 2 tsp 12 OZ / 354 ML

It’s a hard one to find is why – I lucked out, can’t remember how I found it myself. Glad you enjoyed it!

Wow why is there only one other review?
I’m sad I didn’t try most of these before the vente-privee sale. This definitely would have been part of my order. Anyways, it being valentines and all I thought a rose tea would be appropriate. I woke up to breakfast in bed from the boyfriend this morning before he left for work. After I decided to take a shower and then use my new Lush face mask (brazened honey). I then decided to take a bubble bath, ha ha a little backwards but hey! It’s Valentines and ill do what I want to! I split my bath bomb in half and went to town! I chose Lush’s Sex Bomb! My absolute favorite from there! So soothing! I felt like a million bucks soaking in the amazing scent! I read and drank this tea for a while! Mmmm mmmm mmmm!
I definitely am a rose lover and I love how well this paired with the Assam base. A perfect balance of woodsy and floral notes. Pure perfection for my relaxing afternoon! Thank you MissB for this!

Mmmm this was a great ending to my day. Yesterday I took the boyfriend to Oakland to see the golden state warriors play the Miami heat (NBA game)his friends and I all pitched in and bought the tickets for his birthday last week, and we stayed San Francisco. This morning we took a walk down to union square and had breakfast at the cutest little French bakery. Then I was off to a stop at LUSH which was a must!
This tea made me wish i was in France tonight! I never give fruit teas a chance. At least not hot brews. I usually cold steep them. This was delicious though!
Definitely taste the blood orange and the rose who would have known it would be a great pair. These French tea makers are genius! Genius I tell you!

Preparation
200 °F / 93 °C 3 min, 30 sec 2 tsp 16 OZ / 473 ML

This reminds me of a tea I had recently! hmmmm cant pin point it. This is my first time trying this, it was a part of myHUGE BUTIKI BF oder, that I am slowly but surely making my way through.
I see what the ranting and raving is about this one. The honey notes are what I first spotted in my cup. I do taste that burnt sugar aspect of caramel. Bread notes show themselves in the end. Overall this was a great cup to warm me up after work. Its been freezing and non stop raining all day. I love this weather!!

Preparation
205 °F / 96 °C 3 min, 30 sec 3 tsp 10 OZ / 295 ML

this may be my favorite from Butiki…

After note of lavender on the tongue and then citrus!

Another great cup!

Oh my gosh!!!!! Is anyone still going to order from Fauchon on the Vente-Privee sale? If so can you please add the tin of this for me please?!!! I’ll pay you the $12! I already placed my order yesterday and totally forgot I had a sample of this and I fell in love with it today when I had it after work! Pretty pretty please?!?! Of rather not have to pay for shipping twice and play 2 different orders.

Anyways this tea is delicious! This was another glorious tea from my great box box of Dexter tea! This reminds me of the very first loose leaf I ever tried that I keep near and dear to my heart and always restock it no matter what! My glorious Victorian vanilla from a farmers market business back home.

This is a great balance of rose and vanilla and u get that citrus after note!
I really hope I can get my hands on this before it is too late!

Preparation
Boiling 3 min, 0 sec 2 tsp 10 OZ / 295 ML

boychik

And I can share it as well

BrewTEAlly Sweet

Awesome!!! Can’t wait to see the review!

Dustin

I bought a tin of this… and sadly I hate it. I could barely get to the bottom of my first and only cup. Still looking to buy some?

drank La Naissance by Fauchon

After reading Stephanie ’s note and many other that have popped up over the past week or so I went diving into my Great Big Dexter Package! Wahlah! I knew it was in here somewhere!

(I have been on a huge French tea kick again…)(not good for my hopes and dreams… Drinking them makes me want them and it’s just not an option with the prices.) However…. I am the proud owner of fauchon raspberry macaron!!!!! (FINALLY… With the cool container and everything thanks to the daily vente-privee emails. I check them every morning at 6am on my mid break at work, and I should have looked then but I waited until after work 3am to check it out and missed out on the chocolate eclair tea! Gasp, there is such a thing? And it’s a French tea too?! Wish I could have had my hands on some of that for that great price!)

Anyways… Back in track about this tea. So reading the company’s description down below all I got was almond. As it steeped I was wondering if this was the same tea because I smelled some floral essence, jasmine? Rose? Lavender? Whatever it was it smelled delicious with that creamy and Lamont nuttiness this tea also have off! Wowzah! First sip I almost died and flew to heaven! Nuttiness, floral and CREAMY? ALL IN ONE CUP? Wow! I’m moving to wherever these tea are made and building a chic apartment right next door!

Come to me oh so heavenly and delicious tea that I cannot afford but love so much! Guilty pleasure of mine!

My first thought when I opened this…“Holy cow these pearls are ginormous!”

So pretty though! Mixture of black & gold.

I love watching pearl tea steep! It’s almost like blooming flowers ha ha.
Anyways, this was another tea from my BF order. And I have not been disappointed me yet! Leaving me in awe with every tea I try.

At first when the package said to steep it up to 10 mins I thought there is no wayyyyyyy!
But yup! On my third steep I took it there! Yup! 10 mins!

That’s crazy! How is that possible?!

Anyways this tea was scrumptious! Malty! Sweet! Chocolatey!
I will have to savor my last little pack of this! let’s just say when my stash is all cleared out I will definitely be reordering from them! I’m really loving all these malty chocolatey teas lately perfect for upcoming valentines day! I want a valentine tea :( a steepster valentine!

BrewTEAlly Sweet, i cant see your pics:(

pyarkaaloo

i love dragon pearls! their chocolately, honey-like flavor amazes me.. the only ones i’ve had have been from Teavana, so i’m always on the lookout for other brands.. the ones from Teavivre sound amazing! also want to try Mandala’s too.

ps- of all ‘chocolate’ teas i’d say black dragon pearls do it best, and they’re au naturel! do u have any recommendations for other chocolate flavored teas or straight teas with nice cocoa notes?

BrewTEAlly Sweet

Mandalas flowering tea cones, verdants laoshan black, verdants laoshan genimacha black, harney and sons soho, harney and sons Florence. There are so many! I can’t even think right now ha ha.

BrewTEAlly Sweet

Steapshoppe’s black and white!!!

pyarkaaloo

gah, thank you so much!! i’m also interested in Verdant’s laoshan black/genmaicha, and H&S Soho…will check out the others! :)

Dexter

Love these pearls – agree with BrewTEAlly Sweet’s suggestions. Florace and Soho are really good – Verdant Laoshan Black is really chocolate for a straight tea, and the chocolate genmaicha is just amazing. Haven’t had the Mandala cones, but well everything from Mandala is good….
The one I would like to add is Herbal Infusions Cacao. It’s not tea, it’s a herbal blend – but IMHO it is just silky smooth milk hot chocolate. :))

pyarkaaloo

thank you so much, Dexter! you have been most helpful :D
i know…Mandala seems to be all the rage around here…am dying to try their Milk Oolong, Special Dark & GABA Black..
also, the Herbal Infusions Cacao sounds delish!

Dexter

It’s all just personal preference, I hope you find something that works for you. :))

Oh the love I have acquired for these French teas! and all thanks to MissB and Dexter3567 for sharing a million different companies and teas just because they wanted to! :) steepster friends are generous it’s crazy! We steepsters are collectors of tea. Usually collectors don’t usually share their collections and that is why I love steepster! We are u like usual collectors.

Anyways… This lovely came from Dex and oh man! Boston blend from H&S… By far this one beats it out! How do these French companies do it?! Perfection all bundled up in each tea! How does a girl get a job there? One can dream…

For breakfast I had some chocolate chunk hazelnut biscotti granola cereal and I remembered I had some French tea that resembled this from my box from Dex I just had no idea which kne so I went through them all looking at them trying to narrow them down by smell and look before I looked them all up trying to find this gem!

Anyways… Back to the tea! This is decadent, luxurious, indulgent, grand, sinister almost. It’s too good to be true. Creamy, nutty, citrusy, and a touch of floral. A perfect balance of all of these fine ingredients! I do recommend sugar and a touch of milk to make this tea all that more sinful!

This tea has such an innocence to it that you feel guilty drinking it.
If you didn’t know better, you wouldn’t guess this was tea.

Anyways, I wish I could but this. The tins they come in are so quaint and would look amazing on my tea cart.

Delicious!

We’ve found two places in France where you can buy DF teas for cheaper shipping and sometimes cheaper prices than the Dammann site ( though DF does have cheaper shipping than most of the big French tea co.)
http://www.cadeau-deco-vendome.com/en/dammann-freres-teas-xsl-247_268.html. There are more teas under the Christmas headings.
http://www.chocolathe.fr/groupederubrique/index.html. this one is in French only.

Shipping is usually pretty quick too.

BrewTEAlly Sweet

$35 including shipping for this tea:/ same on with the DF site too:( thanks anyways though!

yyz

Is that because of the tin?

Its 4.75 plus 8 euro shipping at cadeau Deco vendome, without a tin.

Oh my heavenly tea gods!!! This jasmine! Where do I start?!?! I got this with my BF teavivre order, I meant to buy the peach jasmine pearls but added these to my cart on accident instead. And oh my goodness am I ever so glad I did!!!
I drank this as I got caught up with last weeks Downton Abbey episode.
These Jasmine Pearls are so dainty and beautiful! So delicate but so perfect! This tea is so smooth, it literally melts in your mouth! How is this possible. This my friends… THIS Jasmine tea is by far the most outstanding Jasmines out there! I am at a loss for words. It is so succulent and so delicate! How?! How?! I am so so so so so so glad I accidentally bought this one and quite a bit of it too!! Wow! Just wow!

BrewTEAlly Sweet

I want the peach so bad!!!!

BrewTEAlly Sweet
