I just purchased this matcha and tried some this morning. I was waiting to get my new matcha whisk set because I noticed my old whisk had lots of little bits of wood splintering off. I assumed it needed to be replaced (even thought it wasn’t very old) and got a set from Harney and Sons. It came with whisk, chashaku, and bowl. All are very pretty, but I noticed the whisk also has little bits of wood sticking off. So… is this normal? Am I eating splintered bamboo pieces? I may never know…. no one else I know drinks matcha, So if anyone knows the answer… please let me know??
I used two scoops using the chashaku scoop (as the David’s tea website suggests). It seemed like a lot. The powder was kind of clumpy and I feel like it scooped more than normal because of it. It had a nice strong coconut-y smell. It mixed pretty easy, not too chunky. I didn’t get a good froth (but I was trying to be delicate with my new chosen!) It tasted a bit bitter (my water was probably too hot). And I did get a coconut flavor. I liked it very much, as I’m trying to ween myself from the sweetened flavored matchas. I also usually make a matcha latte, but am trying to enjoy plain. This was pretty good to achieve this. It was a dark slightly muddy colored green in my bowl. I’ve had a nice buzz of energy going. Not the kind that makes you feel shaky and crazy… but I have gotten a lot accomplished. I made fruit salad and muffins!

Later in the day, I discovered an entire box of coconut water that is close to expiring. So, I drank some and gave some away. A friend suggested using it to cook oatmeal, and rice. Which made me think of yummy coconut rice and then coconut shrimp. Which I had for dinner. So- my coconut matcha started a whole day of coconut apparently!

Just as good as the regular. I bought this for a nighttime alternative to the black tea version. It’s just as great. But I love rooibos tea. Though you MUST use a fine mesh steeper or be prepared for tea bits!

The loose leaf tea looks so pretty with flowers and candy type things in it. It brewed to a dark purply color. It didn’t taste super sweet like I expected. Honestly didn’t have a strong discernible flavor at all to me. I didn’t enjoy it very much. I have a large container of it though, So I will keep trying it.

This was my number one favorite tea for a while. Sweet and comforting. I just had some with a splash of milk and it wasn’t as great as I remember. I think it may be pretty old and that’s why…

I made an actual pot of tea this norning. Put out the tea tray, milk, sugar, and a pretty tea cup. Just the right amount of caffeine before saturday cleaning. The tea leaves are very small pieces and I did notice some sediment at the bottom of the pot. No biggie though

This sounds so nice. <3

Love it! I got just 2 0z of this because it was on sale and I wanted to get free shipping. So this pushed me over the threshold. Purchased on a whim because I like sweet and cozy things. And this tastes perfectly sweet and cozy. And lately when I drink any black tea or coffee I feel uncomfortably jittery because I limit caffeine… I had no problem with this even drinking after 3pm. Maybe I am just getting back used to caffeine though. Had with milk.

First time I brewed it came out perfect. Not bitter and a strong jasmine-ness. This tea always reminds me of my mom. She used to like it a lot and I remember buying her some at this cute tea shop near my school in NYC called “the Tea Spot”. And later, at Harney and Sons Store. The second time I made it too cold. And then resteeped it too hot and bitter!

I had a cup of this around lunch time today, before doing homeschool. I used to drink a lot of earl grey tea, in general. I had cut back on caffeine for a number of years and have missed it. I was excited to try this for the “supreme” part. Now I used to always add a generous amount of sugar, which I have cut out almost entirely when drinking tea/ coffee, so that may be a factor. But, I did not taste any “supreme-ness”. It was a nice earl grey tea, but the flavors did not “pop” as I was expecting from the name and description. But still, it was a very nice earl grey.

I bought this over the summer mostly for my husband who loves Snapple peach iced tea. It has a very strong sweet fake peachy smell. I brewed it hot last night. It was enjoyable. I think I didn’t use enough tea for my mug, though, as it was a bit watered down tasting compared to the strong scent
