From Stash Tea

Rich mango and fresh, sweet coconut flavors in this Oolong tea bring to mind a day at the beach.

Oolong is between black and green tea in taste and color. The best oolong tea in the world grows in the mists and fertile ground of the Wuyi Mountains of China’s Fujian Province. Juicy mango flavor combines with sweet coconut flavor for a tea that brings to mind a day at the beach. Enjoy a bit of the island life with our Coconut Mango Oolong.

Ingredients: Wuyi oolong tea, orange peel, mango flavor, and pineapple coconut flavor

Brewing
To savor the full flavor of our teas, bring fresh water to a rolling boil. Pour hot water directly over the tea bag in a pre-heated pot or cup. Brew 3-5 minutes or to desired taste. One tea bag makes 8 ounces of hot tea. For iced tea, brew double strength.

Got this in a swap recently, and threw it into a travel mug before heading out to run errands.

Smells like coconut. Tastes coconutty and like a milk oolong a little, although not at all as complex. The fruit didn’t come out at all for me. Weird!

It tasted like a mild Oolong with fruity notes, I enjoyed it…twice. Nice color. I’d grab this one if it was on sale.

I definitely tasted the mango, but the coconut seemed to hide from me. It was definitely fruity, which I like, but it seemed mild… I may not have steeped it long enough. One of the better ones I’ve tried by Stash, though.

My son and I were daring, decided to buy this while out Christmas shopping.
Great coconut aroma, and then great mango flavor with a hint of coconut aftertaste that doesn’t stay too long on the tongue. The box said it had orange peel in it, but no orange detected at all. I think this would be great iced, might try that this summer if the box lasts that long.

So light and fragrant and fruity and sweet and delicious. Definitely a good, inexpensive, summertime tea.

Water: 8oz

Leaves: tea bag

Measuring Spoon: no

Steep: 5m

Aroma: Tropical

Color: Medium Amber

Clarity: Great

Taste: I had picked this tea up a few weeks ago at my local Sprouts b/c it was buy one get one free sale & I had a coupon! I hadn’t tried many Stash teas, so it was nice to add 2 new ones to my collection. Upon opening the packet the scent was amazing it only became even more apparent when i added hot water. The color was medium amber color with great clarity,no cloudiness. As for the taste it was light with a very slight bitterness. I didn’t really pick up on the mango or coconut but overall a very nice cup. Even without a bold flavor the aroma itself makes drinking a cup even more enjoyable.

This one was a surprise to me, I really didn’t know what to expect but the flavors really come together well. Not a strong tea and does at least two steepings well, I didn’t have time for a third steeping. I think this one that will become an everyday favorite.

I hate this tea. I think the coconut ruins it for me. I was all in for mango oolong and then coconut came along, and I was like, no thanks!

Trying to drink it in a shot glass to see if that makes it better. Maybe I will cool it down to kill the flavour.

One minute steepings are enough.
