Marvelous moringa

Never heard of Moringa? You’re not alone. But trust us. You need this “miracle tree” in your life. Native to Africa and Asia, its leaves are packed with vitamins, minerals – and even protein! And around the world, it’s used for everything from treating joint pain to strengthening the immune system. We combined this wonder plant with fruity peach and a spicy hint of ginger. It’s like an herbal cleanse in a cup. The best part? It actually tastes amazing.

Seriously, why did DT have to remove this tea from its collection??? I’m disappointed. This was a tea with a very unusual but still delicious taste.

Sample from Tea in Spoons’ Stash Sale.

This is pretty decent. It’s very lightly flavored. The ginger is most prominent, but it’s not super strong, and it’s followed a light herbaceous peach flavor. It’s just unique enough to be interesting, but I don’t know how I feel about the moringa. I’m noticing something a bit odd in the aftertaste.

I mainly buy this tea for the health benefits of Moringa.
Contains all except 2 of all the essential amino acids, 7x more vitamin C than orange, 4x more vitamin A than carot, 4x times more calcium than milk, 2x more protein than yogurt,… and the list goes on and on.

I bought moringa by itself from other companies. I find it very difficult to drink moringa leaf alone, the flavor is quite bitter and green.

But David’s tea version is very enjoyable and easy to drink. David’s tea version is sweet with a touch of peach flavor and ginger. It makes it really easy for me to drink 1 or 2 cups of this tea everyday. I really love the boost of energy moringa offers, plus all the vitamins and other health benefits.

I oversteep it ( 8 minutes ) to make sure I get the most nutriments out of the leaves.

I will definitely rebuy and I definitely recommend this tea to anyone who wants to add more nutriments and antioxidants to their diets.

I removed 6 points because its not organic.

This tea was just okay. I pretty much just tasted ginger. I finished the pot I made, but gave the rest away. Wouldn’t purchase again.

I was pretty excited to try my sample of this tea. It had very strong ginger taste and only slightly peach. If the roles had been reversed, I may have considered buying a little more. It would be great for those times you need a little help feeling better. Ginger is pretty amazing that way.

Sipdown (99)

Last night I couldn’t sleep and at 3am I realized it has been a while since I have seen my makeup. I went searching but couldn’t find it so today I took a trip to Sephora to replace what I lost. Then, since it was across the hall anyways, I went into DAVIDs and basically stocked up on fruit teas. I think I have a problem. However, I have basically been living off my caffeine free options so I figured they wouldnt go to waste.

For instance, this tea was my cold brew for the day. I find having it this way turns down the herbal elements, except for the ginger which comes through in smell and aftertaste. The sip, however, is all peach. Mellow peach but peach nonetheless. However, not a peach that is true to the fruit, more artificial (think a fuzzy peach after someone licked the sour sugar coating off). Though, as you continue to drink, that ginger builds and starts to cloud the taste overall. Nonetheless, I think this is my preferred way to have this of all the methods I tried. With that said, I just don’t think this tea is for me.

I bought more tea today. That “I think” portion is becoming a lot less necessary :P

I picked up three new ones today too. No need, of course. Need has little to do with it.

Cold brew sip down. I noticed with this one and Live Wire Lemon that the ginger really comes through when you cold brew them. With both, I barely tasted the ginger hot but preparing it this way? It’s pretty much all I can taste, especially with Ginger Peach Moringa. That artificial peach that took over hot is virtually gone now. It’s much better this way but I still wouldn’t buy more. Ginger Beer exists for a reason!

1.5 tsp for 300mL water @95C, steeped 5 minutes.

Not bad at all.

Dry leaf smells of ginger and peaches and … uh … dust. Something has gone to a fine powder in there and might make you sneeze.

Liquor is cloudy pale gold that clears a it as the cloudiness settles.

Good ginger flavour with some heat (not dominant, though) and a nice peach flavour, not terribly artificial. Balanced. And best of all, a blend tisane with NO HIBISCUS. They’re hard to find.

Great subtle peach and green tea flavor. I can’t really pick out the moringa, but I feel as though the undefinable nature adds to the whole experience.

I keep waiting for a ginger tea to disappoint me, since it’s one of my favourite tea flavours, and I’ve yet to meet one I haven’t liked… But this isn’t it! :)

I enjoy the mix of the ginger and peach, though I probably could have brewed it for longer to make the taste a little bolder. No matter, I still have some left in my sample. Bravo, DT, for this collection. It’s been a while since I’ve legit like all of the offerings without any gripes with flavours or costs.

Kristal

I agree, this collection is totally what I’ve been wanting. I’ve been getting so annoyed with all of the artificial flavours and stuff and just want some “wellness” blends. Bravo to DAVIDs for pulling me back in!

I said I wasn’t going to pick up large quantities (ie. more than 10g) of tea untill I drank off my other offerings on my overflowing shelf, but I’m afraid these are going to go away quickly!

Kristal

Ugh, I know. I definitely wanna pick up the turmeric one. Darn Davids, why do you have so many limited edition teas :(
