She’s a peach
If we could, we’d eat peaches and cream every single day. Is there any taste more smile-inducing than perfectly ripe fruit and a dollop of vanilla-scented cream? It’s so fresh, so simple – like a bowl of sunshine. There’s just one problem. You just can’t get perfect peaches all year round. But this spring, we’re satisfying our cravings with this fruit-packed peach and vanilla blend. It’s sweet, refreshing and just a little bit creamy. Isn’t life peachy?

For me, it’s not peach-ey enough, but I still really like it! The vanilla is too strong in comparison with the peach for my liking, but it gives this tea a flavor profile like no other tea I have ever had. So I would say that a greater balance between fruity and vanilla is need for this tea.

So this is what he had last night when we stopped for tea before the movie. He was a DAVIDsTEA newbie; and it was interesting trying to get him to pick out a tea to try. Eventually the sales associate chimed in and we were able to narrow it down to this one.

I had a really hard time discerning whether or not he actually liked it; but I’m including a note on it (despite my not personally trying it or getting feedback from him) because damn(!) I could SMELL it. It smelled super creamy and I got a really weight peach/vanilla from the smell. It really made me want to try this, despite it originally being completely outside my radar and not interesting to me in the least as far as the new Spring teas go.

Also, there was an “incident” while we were enjoying our tea where the sales associate knocked down an entire shelf of timolinos and the look of sheer panic and horror on my face when they all fell to the floor was enough for him to go “You’re actually really concerned about that, aren’t you?”. Like, my panic and obsession was not well contained at all…

Ah yes my little tea kettles I’m baaaaaaaack!
Hold the applause.

First of all New summer collection..yay!

First kiss of the season( I do drink and tell) is Peaches and Cream.
Smells like super sweet gummy bears procreating with peach Campinos and sweet and sour sugar dusting on sour keys. Paints quite the picture so far.

Hope it tastes as naughtily sweet and sour as my nose predicts.

My one touch Breville is working away( YES I am going to dig that in every time!)

Once brewed it is yellow with some sediment.
The smell is warming and sweet reminds me of a pared down sultry creamy take on the hot apple cider.

Taste time: do we have a winner or will the bitter swallow of defeat prevail?

Mmm velvety and creamy. Very pleasant like slipping under a spell.not too sweet but still juicy like a fresh fruit stand warmed under a wonderful spring sun. Mmm

Not a staple but perfect for a fling in spring.

Ewwwwwwwww.

What the hell is that !?

It was the one I was the most excited about. I love peach flavored tea and peaches & cream sounded amazing.

The smell alone is too much for me. I have no idea what it tastes like, but I took one sip and threw the rest of my cup away. Horrible.

Ewwwwwww again.

I took a risk and bought 100g of this untested. The concept appealed to me so I hope I don’t regret this one! This tea has some black floaties in it, which the salesperson told me was the vanilla bean. This doesn’t bother me, but if you’re sensitive to this sort of thing be aware. The dry mix of this smells a bit off, very artificial and harsh on the nose. Brewed up the vanilla takes the forefront and the peach is softly in the background.
The taste is rather mild, it reminds me a bit of Mango Lassi with it’s creaminess. I get much more vanilla than peach in this which is a bit disappointing. The peach only really comes out in the aftertaste for me.

After much ado, and waiting… and teasing, and waiting.. The Spring Collection came out and so far I have not been overly disappointed. But I will take a moment to lament the lack of Copabanana this year.

Sigh.

So when I got wind of a “peachy creamy herbal” en route, I was thrilled. I was sure this would be my big herbal latte seasonal. I mean, Last yearspring and summer was Copabanana, my fall was Sugar and Spice and Pistachio Cream (drool) and winter was Gingerbread.

So far I’m right. I have no qualms about this tea other than steeping it straight in milk makes it really rich, It does taste rather like peaches, but I’m also getting quite a bit of some other fruity flavour I can’t quite place. I was expecting it to taste like peach pie, but the flavour needs something else. I’m not sure what. Might have to mix this one with a few othr teas before I find it.This one’s a comfort tea though… One hundred percent.

Oh, this one is so good iced! Not as strong as I would like it to be, but I think that’s due to me not steeping enough of the dry mix to start. Next time! But other than that, this is nice and refreshing and fruity. Thumbs up on this one!

Tonight is the first time I’ve ever had the feeling that I need to get through some of the teas I have before I allow myself to buy more teas. Starting to figure out what I like, and whether or not some of the teas I have are worth re-stocking.

This came as a sample. I dumped the whole little packet in my largish mug. I’m mostly getting a creamy vanilla taste. It’s just dawned on me after I’ve taken another sip. It makes me think of those little yogurt bites you get in trail mix or fruit snacks. Enjoyable for sure, not something I’m putting on my list though.

So this is better hot but still not great. At times I think it is okay but really there is something off no matter the temperature it is prepped. Luckily I only have about 1-2 cups left and then I can say goodbye to this forever.

Fjellrev

It didn’t smell that appealing to me in the store. Is it overly sweet? It smelled like it would be.

VariaTEA

It is sweet but there is some chemical or artificial quality that is what really bothers me.

Fjellrev

Ah yeah, I’m not surprised. I had a feeling it would taste artificial, like juice crystals maybe?

VariaTEA

Actually someone mentioned nail polish and I believe that is a more apt description

Aimee Popovacki

lol im not even going to try it iced…. i hated it hot, so i’ll likely hate it even more iced….. it does taste like nailpolish..

Fjellrev

What! That is crazy.

VariaTEA

OMG I had it cold brewed yesterday and it was disgusting. It is 100% better hot and even then it is shitty.
