From Bigelow

For our special Earl Grey, we’re adamant about using only the best bergamot oil. We source ours from the same garden in Calabria, Italy year after year. Then we carefully blend this flavorful and aromatic bergamot with a bold handpicked black tea… a recipe like no other.

i love earl grey. but the flavor is a bit stronger than i would like.
will try this when mixing a pot for 2 or more, and mixing it with another black tea.

i like that it uses only natural flavoring :)

I found a box of this at work today and decided to try it. It was good but I prefer other earl greys.

black tea, slightly sweet and a bit orangey on the aftertaste, I think the bergamot in here is a bit floral and bright. I take mine with honey and sometimes a slice of lemon, I think this is a good introductory Earl Grey Tea and will definitely be trying others.

update:I’ve got two tea bags left of this one already!

I believe Bigelow was the first Earl Grey I had ever tasted and I liked it right away. Might not be the best Earl Grey out there and it’s bagged, not loose leaf, but it’s the most convenient, easiest to find in my area and still one of my favorite.

A very tasty Earl Grey, with just the right amount of bergamot.

I haven’t had an Earl Grey in a while. I quite like this tea, even though it seems the majority of people think the bergamot is too strong/weak. I think it’s just enough, especially when you add milk and sugar. Mmm. It’s a good tea when you need some caffeine and a craving for bergamot.

Not my favorite Earl Grey by far — the amount of bergamot in this one is a little overpowering and sometimes even makes me nauseous. I’d probably still give it a try if there were no better teas around, though.

Loren, sorry to hear you didn’t care for the Earl Grey….if you’d ever like to try another of our flavors, such as our Earl Grey Green or Earl Grey Decaf, please give us a call to request a sample at 1-888-244-3569. This way you can give a new flavor a try before purchasing an entire box.

Thank you! That’s pretty neat. I’ve enjoyed seeing Bigelow around here on Steepster :)

Had two cups of this today. It’s really lacking, but I was REALLY in the mood for some Earl Grey and it’s 50/50 between this brand or the Celestial Seasonings that I have at work. I can’t wait to finish the last of the CS kind off and then I can buy a really good Earl Grey from somewhere else.

My son came to me and ask me if I would please make him a cup of warm tea.
There were smiles from both my son and boyfriend about the process of warming the teapot, checking the temp of the water, and timing the steep time.
Son enjoyed the tea and it did help his tooth that was giving him a fit.
I also enjoyed this tea this afternoon.

A decent EG for being in a bag. I like to use to make milk tea, since it’s kind of blah just on its own. But not a bad flavor at all. I pick this up for having tea at work, since it’s hard to loose leaf at times.

So glad to hear that you enjoyed the Earl Grey!
