I wanted to like this blend. Smelling the dry leaf made me hopeful, but it didn’t live up to my expectations.

Notes: It’s too much white chocolate and not enough peppermint. Sweet & creamy; I wish there was more balance with the blend. Perhaps if there was more peppermint, I’d rate this more highly.

PS. I don’t really care for white chocolate, so it’s likely that affects my rating.

Adagio CommuniTEA – April 10th, 2023

Okay, time to catch up on communiTEA… I actually drank this one on the 10th, but since then I’ve just been keeping each day’s sample to drink later. Mostly I was too lazy to write notes and keep them in some backlog.

I found this just as disappointing as most other peppermint bark themed teas. Why do they always add cinnamon?! It makes no sense to me and yet it’s there every time… It really takes away from the whole candy cane idea, and makes it taste more like a generic herbal blend.

Anyway, boo hiss at yet another lame interpretation of this flavor profile… :(

Aw man, I loved Teavana’s white chocolate peppermint tea back in the day, so I was feeling hopeful for this one!

Maybe you’d like it more than I did! :P

I LOVED this tea! I’m not normally a rooibos fan but this one is sooo good. The hint of chocolate with the peppermint in it was the perfect combination and definitely tasted like christmas

Adventaggedon Day Twenty Four – 3/6

I don’t have a lot of Christmas traditions outside of Adventaggedon, but one of them it watching Olive The Other Reindeer every year, so I decided that since this was the most festive of my teas today that it would be the one I’d drink while watching.

I actually enjoyed this blend quite a lot. The peppermint was very crisp and cooling but also just a bit sweet and it worked very well with the rich, creamy white chocolate flavour. Most impressively, all of the flavours were bold enough to cut through the haze of the cold I’m experiencing. It was a really nice moment today and it felt like a really meaningful way to close out Adagio’s advent.

I’m not sure if I’d do this advent again – it was the most repetitive feeling out of all my advents, and there weren’t a lot of teas in it that were totally new to me. I’m glad I did it though, because it was nice having one or two new discoveries – especially that Cherry Marzipan Oolong! Maybe if Adagio ever did an advent with their fandom blends…

I would be all over a fandom-themed advent!
