while making a delicious breakfast this morning of cheesy scrambled eggs and potatoes i decided i would try my new wonderful green tea from the Tea Table. i got this as a sample with my last order and i love it. its a smooth earthy-ish green tea with a lovely golden yellow liquor. when i brewed it this morning i did a quick rinse and then a 30 second steep. i then re-steeped it several more times adding about 15 seconds each time. i felt the more i re-steeped it the more a a soothing smooth texture the liquor had. this is a wonderful tea especially in the morning for those who dont like black teas.

This Oolong has a lightly roasted taste very similar to many Formosas, this makes a wonderful mid morning or early afternoon tea do to a subtle rich, sweet flavor that is more common to darker Oolongs.

I woke up on my coach this morning after a night of being a college student and realized that this weekend i have dissipated from my tea drinking habits do to be super busy. waking up on the coach i realised i needed to enjoy a kup of tea in which would counterballance the uncomfort i am in do to the coach. i decided on this wonderful oolong since i havent enjoyed it in so long. i used my newly purchased ceramic pot that also includes a one serving 8 ounce tea mug. this tea has a wonderful buttery texture once it starts to cool like most other Oolongs.
Water temp: 185 degrees F
Steeping time: 3 minutes with leafs free in tea pot. (every steeping i add 30 seconds)

the color of a nicely brewed Da Hong Pao is a rich gold almost close to a rising golden sun.

this tea is definately a great way to end my weekend and a wonderful way to kick off this next week.

since it is sunday, as a college student it is the day of homework and i recently found a Tea house up in Crested Butte Colorado which is just 30 minute drive away. So im going to venture up there after this Cup of tea and check the place out while doing some homework. Wahooo!!

My day started off very slow today by sleeping in until about 10:30am. once awake i turned on the news to listen to what was going on in the world today. while making breakfast (egg and cheese on a baggel w/ pot off pu-erh) i was astonished to hear the breaking news of the earthquake that struck my old home town in New Hampshire. Once done with my Pu-erh and breakfast i started my day. i sat on my rooftop deck (not much of a deck) reading a book for class and sipping on this wonderful Earl Grey produced by Twinings.
this tea is one that my aunt swears by almost like those who drink a cup of coffee every morning. i filled my pot and started sipping away watching the birds fly around it blue cloudless sky.

this tea is wonderfull it not to strong and not to bitter. the aroma of the liquor is filled with a slight hint of a citrus fruit flavor of bergamot. i believe that this citrus taste makes it one reason why it is so smooth to drink. i like this tea as an afternoon tea.

watching the Presidentail debate i decided i needed to let loose and enjoy a wonderful pot of tea. i decided on the Pu-erh because ive never had it and i am in the mood to review and do some tasting. the smell of the dry tea is supper earthy. after brewing the leafs started to loosen up and the liquor is a bright vibrant brown and smells and tastes very earthy like top soil. i first gave the Pu-erh a 15 second rinse then steeped for 2:30 minutes

Well? Did you like it at all? Hope you didn’t get a bum one. The first time I made some for my 11 year old grandson I made him one with a little sugar which brought out the caramel taste, then I added some cream and it was a puerh latte. He loved it, said it was his favorite tea ever!

patrick

i really liked it but ill have to add a little sugar and try it that way in the morning

just sat down to enjoy an afternoon tea to relax myself and chose to choice one of my roommates new teas. i settled on this because of the smell of the dry tea that was of rich mint and cocoa shell. My roommate swears by this tea as her nighttime tea. and i decided along with her we would do a little tasting and compare thoughts.
just pored my first cup and it is a rich deep yellow where the sent hits you right it the eyes clearing them up. and then a smell of sweet chocolate comes into play. ones sipped your throat goes relaxed from the mint and then the lingering taste of chocolate fills your pallet.
all flavors are very suddel and not over powering. this tea makes me feel replenished.

once again i am not a big herbal tea drinker but this is a wonderful simple blend if you are looking a cooling and soothing tea.

drank Matcha by The Republic of Tea

ok so after class i decided to finally go to the tea shop and buy myself some Matcha since i was so curious and never had it. the second i got back to my apartment i made a matcha tea smoothie, which was magnificent with 1 teaspoon of match. then right before my last class i made a regular hot cup to go and it was decent except for the over powering chalky taste. i recommend using it for lattes or smoothies.

What a wonderful easy to prepare morning tea. This was the first tea i drank this morning as i was running out the door to class. i was surprised of its wonderful earthy and somewhat buttery taste and texture. i made a mug to go since i was late for class and it was the perfect amount of caffeine for the morning. i did three full steepings of the tea and each steeping brought out a new twist to its simple earthy taste.
if you drink mate in the morning and either like or dislike the taste i recommend this as an alternative because it is not as finicky since you do use boil water.
++ in my book for a morning tea boost

COMMENTS:
This is my first rooibos tea and settled on it on my first visit to Happy Lucky’s Tea House in Fort Collins, Colorado. While in aw to mass amounts of teas at my hand this was the choice of my girl friend and is now my favorite nighttime tea since there is no caffeine.
Rooibus Tea is made from the needle-like leaves of a caffeine-free bush that is native to the South African region. The major benefit to this tea is that it does not go bitter if you let it steep to long. This blend contains dried raspberry flakes.
This is a wonderful “desert” tea if you where to classify it do to its sweet taste and aroma. This makes a wonderful relaxing tea that is soothing and not overpowering to the pallet, even though the raspberry flavor cotes on thick to you pallet and slowly fades away revealing a slight wanderlust taste. This makes a great iced tea.
