I’m pretty thrown off here because some ingredient strongly reminds me of a Thai curry. That doesn’t mean it’s bad… it’s just savory and 100% not pumpkin pie. The curry association is so strong. That’s all I taste.

From the Sips by autumn box.

This smelled so good in the package – sweet, creamy, pumpkin pie goodness. However… for some reason hibiscus is the third ingredient, and I don’t understand why it’s here at all. I can taste that creamy pumpkin flavor, but then the hibiscus turns it into a tart fruit tisane. It makes about 0% sense to me that they included it in a tea called “pumpkin pie”…

Anyway, it’s not awful or anything. It’s sort of like a tart and mildly spiced mulled wine sort of fruit tisane, but then it has a nice pumpkin pie aftertaste. Odd, but fine lol. I think this would’ve been a lovely creamy pumpkin spice blend without that hibiscus.

Took a long weekend off from my computer, which is extra nice because I’m definitely going to be glued to it for the week as I finish my grades. I’m only halfway through my advents, so I hope I can be forgiven for focusing on finishing them over December/January!

This one was interesting; I’m not sure I would have guessed apple at all if I hadn’t read the name. It’s a pleasant black tea with only hints of the spices I’d associate with apple pie in the back. As it cools, the cinnamon is much more obvious, but I still don’t notice much apple.
