Thank you Lala for this tea. It’s another unbelievably hot day and after making 8 new pendants I have decided to call it a day. The problem with making wire necklaces is the smell your fingers have after a couple of hours of working with various metals. :( Copper is particularly bad.
A quick scrub of my hands while I prepare this tea. A quick note of the tea bag, it smells herbal and sweet but not lemon per say. Citrus/fruit yes but lemon no.
Once steeped it smells lemony and very sweet, like a lemon flavour and scented hard boiled sweet.
Flavour is not as thick as I was expecting which is a nice surprise. As well as the lemon I’m sure there is a hint of orange in there too and it’s more sweet than sour. It tastes a little artificial but overall I don’#t think it’s bad at all. Will try this iced soon.
This is a bagged tea that brews to a dark mahogany colour and smells of sweet potatoe, lemon and a hint of floral.
It tastes of sweet potato with a hint of floral, over malt. It is lightly astringent. The tea develops more malty, bitter tones as you drink down the cup and tastes mostly of citrus tones and malt, with very little sweetness. The tea is best drunk when hot as the flavour dissapears as it cools. However it does develop a nice potent dose of caffeine.
Preparation
Incredients: Roasted chicory root, spices, carob pod, natural flavour, cocoa shells, ginger, licorice root, stevia leaves, cocoa.
Lovely! It doesn’t taste quite like chai, presumably because there are no tea leaves. But it’s a very tasty blend of sweet, chocolate and spice.
Preparation
love it so far.
i have decided i dont like loose tea and have gone back to bags.
i love this tea.
i love it even more because it was gifted to me, and its available in town!
i was planning on going out when its nicer – take a nice long walk to the store that sells it… but now i dont have to. Unless i run out by then ! Do you like any other PC teas? i have a few on my shopping list.. the chocolate mint is one for sure.
Woke up to a balmy minus 42 C this morning. Once I got to work I made myself a cup of cinnamon spice. Nothing better than cinnamon to warm you up from the inside out. This tea smells like hot tamales candy. The taste of the cinnamon, once steeped, is a little blunted, but there is still a sweet and spicey flavour to this Assam tea. This is one of my favorites year round, it is especially nice on a day like today. Many more cups to come!
Preparation
I was expecting this tea to taste like cranberry juice, but it doesn’t. It’s very tart and there are spices added to the cranberry flavour. I don’t enjoy it. Someone mentioned here that it has a vomit aftertaste and when I try to drink it I can’t help but notice it. It’s a little better iced with agave but I won’t repurchase it for sure.
Preparation
I quite like the zing this tea has. I have spent a lot of money and many boxes/bags/tins of tea to find a good lemon tea that does not taste artificial or have a bad aftertaste. I find it soothing on a sore throat, or as a thirst quencher.
Preparation
This is one of my favorite go to teas when I am not feeling well. I love the strong ginger taste. I find the longer you steep it the spicier it tastes. The peach adds a hint freshness. I find this tea calming and relaxing and helps with indigestion. I buy this tea in a tea bag form as I do not drink it very often, so that it will last longer. Out of the many brands I have tried, the Presidents Choice is my favorite for this tea, and it is also on the cheaper side.
Preparation
This really is a good, inexpensive, chicory based tea. It’s more chocolate than chai masala, but that’s OK.
Definitely something I’d consider getting again, although Steam Tea House’s After Dark is really yummy, and more full of spice flavours.
2 bags for 16 oz. A dash of coconut cream.

Preparation
I’ve tried this on multiple occasions as a quick cup at work and have unfortunately found it to be weak, flavourless and unappetising. While it certainly smells alright prior to steeping; I found it didn’t translate when consuming and was slightly bitter with a bad aftertaste, which is a shame because I love a good apple cider / tea!
Found this in my parents cupboard this morning and thought it smelled amazing. I didn’t follow the directions on the can. I made it the way I typically make chai. Added a bit of milk and sugar and it is wonderfully spicy and delightful. Already looking forward to my second cup.
This was my first attempt of a chocolate flavoured tea. I was sceptical at first because I always associated chocolate beverages to be thick and creamy and was unsure if I would like the texture and taste of chocolate in a tea form.
to be honest, I don’t know what this taste like. It wasn’t chocolate, and defiantly wasn’t chai. Its tasted like the bottom of a hot chocolate with the chalky powder on the bottom and someone stuck a cinnamon stick in it. it was not pleasant and I wouldn’t punish anyone with this tea.
my sister found a way to drink this tea. Instead of drinking it hot, leave it to cool down or pop it in the fridge. add milk and sugar and it taste like a cinnamon hot chocolate.
Preparation
Blech. I don’t know if I realized this was herbal when I bought it but it was a mistake. Down the drain and the rest of the bags are getting dumped. It doesn’t taste like chocolate or Chai.
Preparation
It doesn’t have the rich, deep complexity as loose leaf, but it’s not bad for an inexpensive bagged tea. Initially I feared that I had over steeped this one, but the flavour was still mild-strong with not a hint of bitterness after over 10 mins. Neither the chocolate nor the mint are overpowering – it has a good balance.
There’s likely chocolate mint teas that are cleaner, crisper and superior to this. Still, for the price and the lack of bitterness, it makes for a nice, convenience, on-the-go tea.
Summary
Price: sub $5 for 20 bags (got mine on sale)
Steep time: 10 min +
Flavour: tasty, smooth
Strength: decent
Smell: chocolate
Additions: none
Preparation
I feel weird that I enjoy this tea so much because it’s not my usual brand, but I have bought it back when I was grocery shopping in college. It was on sale, I needed a new tea fast, convenient, and sounded like a great blend. IT WAS DELICIOUS! Probably much better than I expected because I didn’t have such high hopes for it, but it had a great balance to it. Great chocolate and mint ratio.
