*December 1st Sipdown Challenge Prompt – start your advents!”

We are having a homemade advent this year due to tariffs and the overabundance of tea already in cupboard. Some teas will be new to us like this one that we have had but hadn’t tried yet, and some will be samples ordered from S&V Tea.

Superanna bought this in France LAST YEAR and I waited to open it until I had a good tin free. It got behind some other tea and lost until recently and I saved it just for this day! Many thanks, Superanna!

This is definitely peach while not being a typical Southern peach. I have never had or heard of blood peach, only blood orange, but it is a distinct flavor similar to the peach I am used to but not the same. While it is very peachy, it isn’t a face punch like Midsummer’s Peach, which is great when that is what you are looking for (especially iced and sweet in summer), but for a breakfast tea I prefer this. The vanilla gives it a nice roundness.

Bio

I am a music teacher, tutor, and former homeschool mom (25 years!) who started drinking loose leaf tea about fifteen years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens and oolongs.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
