Ginger and cardamom forward, this chai is nice. There are subtle cinnamon notes and a touch of coconut, vanilla, and lapsang souchong. I couldn’t make out any of the rum flavor.

I brewed it and added just enough vanilla almond milk to cool it down to my preferred temperature.

I’ve been sipping down teas from my Advent calendar at home and drinking bagged tea at work that I’ve already reviewed, mostly Steven Smith flavors. So this is my first tasting note in a while. Arrrr.

I have enjoyed various teas most of my life, but have recently started exploring higher-end teas. Still, plain houjicha (loose-leaf or bagged) makes me feel like I’m in Japan.
