it doesn’t look like the picture, the blend is more foaming, wery swollen as well and it doesn’t look so dry as the picture shows.
I think I used a too cold water(85°c), that’s what the MF salesman required but I saw on MF website now they do recommend 95°c.
Also they ask to leave it for a long 7 min steep…I left less and it is bitter.
I just love so much orange blossoms I think I just spoiled my tea. I’ll try again tomorrow- I don’t rate it for now and just give myself a zero for preparing it so badly !

Preparation
185 °F / 85 °C 6 min, 45 sec

You are never a zero at anything

thank you Bonnie :)

I’ve also been surprised by the steeping time announced at Mariage for white tea – also 7 minutes.
The white tea I bought in Asia was to be steeped for less than 3 minutes.
The oolong I have (also bought here) only requires a 60 seconds first steep, at 95°.
Hope you’ll find the good steeping time, as I’m sure this blend can be lovely.
The zero is more deserved by the MF salesman IMO.

First, please forgive me for my English and all the grammatical mistakes you’ll find in my posts.
As English isn’t my mother tongue it sometimes makes things more difficult to express cleverly and accurately what I feel.

I was mainly in black flavoured teas, green as well if not bitter.
I’m now drinking much straight teas because my palate is now developed enough to appreciate them .

My favourite brands are : Taiwan tea Crafts, Teavivre, Mariage Frères,Theodor,Butiki Teas,Dammann Frères, Betjeman & Barton.
My ratings are as follow :

100 to 95 : my darlings; always in my cupboard (or very often ! )

94 to 90 : Excellent tea

89 to 80 : very good tea, a pleasure to drink it

79 to 70: not bad even quite nice, why not having it sometimes, but well,it’s not so urgent !

69 to 50 : Meh, deceptive or just not for me – but has some qualities

49 to 30 : I just don’t appreciate it

Under 30 : is this thing supposed to be tea ?!?!?
