737 Tasting Notes
Albertocanfly also sent me this tea called “Sleigh Ride” from a company called “The Tea Stove”. She said that it’s from Germany. Since I’m too lazy to make a new tea on here, I’ll just write my note on here.
This is very plum-y. While it is a rooibos, it’s not very woody. The plum flavor hides it well. Plums in my experience are okay, not my favorite fruit. But we used to have a plum tree,so I used to eat them all the time…that is if I could find a good one that the birds hadn’t utterly destroyed!
If you’re looking for a good plum tea, this is the one!
Can’t pick out any other flavors in this tea other than plum. So yeah, it’s interesting. Thanks for broadening my tea horizons, Albertocanfly! :P
Flavors: Plum
Got a sample of this from the awesome Albertocanfly! ^^
So I probably wouldn’t have chosen to get this tea otherwise, because the combo of lemon and mango seems odd to me. But I found myself curious when I received a sample of it in her last package to me.
So I gave it a shot!
The aroma of this tea is definitely mango. Not too strong, but definitely there.
Lemon is the dominant flavor in this tea, but there are still mango notes here and there. She told me to add sugar to it, but I never add sugar to anything, so this is a review on it without anything added.
It’s pretty sweet by itself. Not overly, but enough. I’m sure that the sugar brings out a lot more in this tea. Maybe I’ll try it with sugar next time. For now it makes a pleasant cup of tea. Thanks for the sample, Albertocanfly!!
Flavors: Lemon, Mango, Sweet
Coconut. I taste. Honeybush. I DEFINITELY taste. Cheesecake? No. None at all. D:
Honeybush is an even harder flavor to hide than chamomile. Who would have thought! This one is okay. One of the better flavored honeybushes I’ve had. But not something I’d want to drink again. Honeybush isn’t for me. But I just got a bunch of them from someone and feel bad not at least trying them. :P
So this one is okay.
Flavors: Coconut, Pepper
This tea tastes like I just went outside, scooped up a bunch of dirt and leaves in my tea infuser and then steeped it. XD Ohhh it’s bad haha wow xD
Oh goodness. Definitely the worst tea I’ve had today. 0_0
Flavors: Dirt, Forest Floor
I have no idea. I tried a mate from Teavana once, but that was a while ago, and I just know I didn’t like it. xD
I really don’t think that Adagio is for me. Everything I try kinda just feels like a low grade of tea. Not much mango present. Mostly just peppery honeybush. Not anything to write home about. Oh well.
Thanks for the sample though, ShortSorceress!
Flavors: Pepper
YAY! another person to join me on this side of the fence :) i think i’ve tried maybe 2 adagio teas that i liked…
Aha I’ve not liked any of the teas I’ve tried. Few years ago I got their Peach Oolong, it tasted like burnt peach. Even back then I knew it was a crappy tea and I barely drank that many teas. :P Glad I am not alone in not liking Adagio. XD
Maple. Sugar. Creamy. Cinnamon. Cookies.
Holy Shanghai!
This tea is so much more than I expected! There’s so much in it. It’s so full and rich. This is definitely another win from the Tea Guys!
My only complaint is that I can taste the black tea base a little too much. Think I need to steep it around 4 mins instead of 5 and a half. But once I figure out the steeping, this tea is gonna make for an awesome cuppa!
A must try for any dessert tea lover! :D
Flavors: Cinnamon, Cookie, Creamy, Maple, Sugar, Sweet
I really really love this tea. Love love love the peppermint and vanilla combo. And since it will be Christmas in a few days I should drink this tea. :P
It really doesn’t feel like Christmas this year at all. Maybe it’s because I’ve been super busy for the last two weeks, trying to finish up Christmas gifts. It just feels like it came too soon. I’m hardly ready mentally. So maybe drinking more Christmas-y teas will help. Hope everyone has a great Christmas! (:
Flavors: Creamy, Peppermint, Vanilla
There’s nothing like a good jasmine tea to wake you up in the morning! No matter what the base is, the strong jasmine flavor just wakes you up and clears your senses. Ah, it’s just wonderful. Don’t think this tea is a super special jasmine like other people do, I don’t really understand the hype about this one. But I have enjoyed my sample size of it! (:
Flavors: Jasmine
I can’t believe I’m recommending it, because it’s not the highest quality Oolong, but Adagio’s Peach Oolong is fantastic. It’s not the best tea ever, but it’s an incredibly solid peach tea, in my opinion.
Maybe I just got a bad batch, but I had it a few years ago and hated it. xD Have you ever had Momo Oolong Super Grade from Lupicia? Think that is my favorite peach tea.
No, it’s possible it’s not great. Also I noted you don’t like roasted oolongs as much, and it’s very roasty. And the other flavored oolongs by Adagio are awful. But no! I haven’t! I’ll have to look into it.
Well, Momo is more of like a floral with peach…not sure if you are into something like that?
