1443 Tasting Notes
The smell of this one drying is reminding me of Davids Glitter & Gold. Yum.
Getting a bit more “cookie” in the aftertaste but the cinnamon may be a bit overpowering in this one. Very tasty, just not exactly oatmeal raisin. A great black tea overall.
Thanks KittyLovesTea!
Thanks to KittyLovesTea for yet another awesome sample :)
I can smell the lemon lime as it steeps away. Yum!
I’m loving it. More and more green teas are growing on me. This one is pretty delicious. A perfect balance of lemon, lime, and meringue.
Preparation
Thanks to KittyLovesTea for this one!
Hopefully the coconut will redeem the rooibos. I can still taste that bizarre flavour but the other ingredients are definitely toning it down :) This is one I can survive!
Perhaps the 5 minute steep time is the trick to these rooibos teas. Hmm. I’ll have to conduct an experiment.
Preparation
Thanks KittyLovesTea for this sample! The moment I saw it pop up on my feed I wanted to try it. I was so excited then, realizing they only shipped with the UK I was disappointed. However, you were awesome enough to send me some, so I’m happy once again haha.
Also I’m on my last chapter of studying for my exam tomorrow!
Smells delicious, like an almond sweet but not overwhelmingly so.
Oh yes this one is a lovely balance of almond and tea. It’s actually really nicely done. The almond is there but not in-your-face, and the tea is also there but not overpowering the almond. I may have to set up some sort of agreement to have this one on hand (or relocate to the UK)!
Update: 2nd steep slightly less flavour, still tasty.
Preparation
Thanks to KittyLovesTea for this one – and so many others I can’t wait to try!
I’m personally not a fan of eggnog, but perhaps I will like eggnog flavoured tea :) It does smell like eggnog. Like spicy eggnog. That must be the cinnamon.
Well it has that bizarre “medicinal” rooibos taste I can’t shake, but the aftertaste is quite nice. It’s reminding me of something I can’t quite put my finger on…
Preparation
I’m still stuck on that ‘medicinal’ taste, too. Sigh. I want to like rooibos, because I need caffeine-free evening teas! And I am also not a fan of eggnog.
I know what you mean. I really love my herbals and greens for the evenings. Toasted Walnut, Hot Lips (though I’m wary too much of this one will wear it out for me so I’m careful), Genmaicha, Luscious Watermelon, Mulberry Magic, and Forever Nuts (similar to Hot Lips I’m careful with this one – too much can be a bad thing) – these are all great for the evening – I definitely recommend :)
Excellent! I just ordered Lime Gelato, Hot Lips and Forever Nuts, and I do enjoy Toasted Walnut quite a bit. I also ordered Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait, which sounded lovely. Genmaicha is super tempting, I am definitely considering getting some on my next order.
Genmaicha wasn’t one I was expecting to like and even after so many cups of it I can’t tell you what it is I like about it haha! Maybe that it’s just a nice simple tea. Good choices for sure :)
Thanks! The others on my order are Ceylon Star, Merry Cranberry, and Cookie Dough. It just shipped today, and it`s supposed to arrive on the 14th. Happy Valentine`s Day to me!
Thank you Vanilla Beans for sending me this awesome sample as well :)
This one smells interesting. Not necessarily good or bad. Just interesting. It also brews up a deep red colour, which has never been a great sign for me. Thus far I don’t think anything that’s brewed up this colour I’ve kept or even enjoyed.
Well it isn’t Pineapple Oolong or Aloha Pu’erh bad, but not my favourite. Must be the hibiscus.
Thanks again Vanilla Beans!
Thanks to Vanilla Beans for this one :) I’ve been wanting to try this for quite some time but because it was an online exclusive and cost an arm and a leg I just couldn’t bring myself to get it.
This one is lovely. I much prefer this blueberry taste over Blueberry Jam. This one seems to be much more “true” blueberry. The combination of blueberries and white tea is excellent. It’s really too bad Davids is getting rid of this one.
Yes! I received my order from Red Leaf Tea today! Ah my stomach has been upset since I woke up this morning, and milk isn’t going to help that at all but I couldn’t wait to try at least one of my new matchas. Bavarian Cream it is!
Yum! Need I say more? I got the delicate flavour and it’s delicious. I can’t say I’ve tried Bavarian Cream anything before, well that I know of. It’s so nice to have a sweetness added to the matchas. I’m trying it cold-brewed with ice and milk but I’m quite excited to also try this one traditionally brewed.
Update: Finally! A reason to use my bubble teacups from David’s. They’re so cute! I need some more practice with the traditional matcha brew for sure – but still great :)
This tea smells pretty good. I’ve learned I enjoy cranberry in tea – Cranberry Pear and Prairie Berry. This one has a smell of spiciness as well.
For such a heavy seeming tea this has a nice light flavour. I’m guessing that spice I’m tasting is the star anise but I’m not completely sure. Whatever the spiciness is, it’s making it very holiday-like. Certainly not a tea I could drink all the time. It is delicious though.
