Bug Reports for Sunday 7/21 Update
oof. all of my mail is disordered! sent mail mixed with received, received two minutes ago mixed with two months ago.
and i agree with what is posted above: i go for hours with no new notices.
I went days without any notifications, and then just received 220 emails in my inbox right now. (No exaggeration there either. That’s a lot of email!)
I hope this is fixed soon.
Same with me, though I never wanted the notifications to begin with! I’m going back and unchecking “Notify me when this topic is updated” every day, but it won’t stay unchecked. I just got the massive dump of emails in my inbox too, which is very frustrating.
Raven, when you say unchecking, do you mean the little ticky box under the reply box, or the blue button that says subscribe to topic in the top right corner? It’s the latter you want, the former only does something if you actually post a reply at the same time.
JustJames, we have the ordering of the private messages on our list.
Regarding the notices all coming at once, that should get better over time. Sometimes, the program that processes all the behind the scenes jobs will hit an error and all of its tasks will get backed up, which, when that queue is cleared, will cause multiple messages to come at once. But we’re taking steps to make that more reliable so it doesn’t get stuck as often.
Unfortunately not yet :(. We have some major developments in the works and it won’t be too long until those are finished, at which point we’ll have more capacity to really get more of the bugs locked down. Sorry for the inconvenience in the mean time. Trust me, we’re closer than we’ve ever been!
I just went through my ratings via the tea ratings page and adjusted some of them but none of the changes seem to have saved even though I did everything as usual. I moved the slider, clicked save and it looked like the correct number but didn’t stick. I had them sorted by highest rated if that matters.
I think this was mentioned before, but I don’t know if it was fixed and re-broke.
I’m sure this has been mentioned already somewhere, but I can’t find it now.
When I click the see more button on the dashboard and it loads the next notes, they suddenly appear as if I’m not signed in which I am. The peculiar thing is that it doesn’t happen the first time I click the see more button, but the second time I click it.
I wonder if this might be related to the thing where the dashboard will show the same set of notes a second time when clicking see more. I’ve had that happen a couple of times, but not consistently.
Hello, I wanted to log a tasting note about Earl Grey From Nina’s Paris but I get the keetle page again :( I am wondering if if I am not a black cat or if I walked under a ladder recently because each time I drink a new tea and try to put a tasting note I get this page
I’m sure it will be solve soon as it had been the 3 last weeks but hope to see steepster soon becoming stabler
While in the tasting notes section of the dashboard, I hit the “show more” button at the bottom and it worked fine. BUT, when I then hit the “show more” button a second time, it put a duplicate of the second page onto the screen. This repeated, so I wound up with three copies of the second page.
Sorry I’ve been out of communication for a little while. Getting back into this and planning to capture everything to wrap up this thread.

Hmmm, I’m getting 500 Internal Server Error pages somewhat randomly on the site. Sometimes a page will load and sometimes it fails and gives a white error page (not the black ‘kettle’ page).
It actually happened the first time I tried to submit this comment.
Me too. I also can’t follow someone new. Couldn’t comment on a tasting note. This just started in the last hour.
I just got “500 Internal Server Error
If you are the administrator of this website, then please read this web application’s log file and/or the web server’s log file to find out what went wrong.” when I tried to load this page. After a reload, it worked. Whee!
Whenever I try to search discussions, the site ‘thinks’ about it for a long while then the kettle page comes up. This has been happening all this morning, and sporatically last night.
Not sure if this is a bug or just because of the number of discussions it has to search through, but I thought I’d put it up here just in case.
I’m having problems getting to my messages. I click on the message link and the page says that it’s loading, but then freezes and I have to completely close out of the window. Not sure what’s going on.. since this started happening a few days ago.
Are you still seeing this issue? I’ve heard of a number of issues with messages. Not sure exactly what it is at the moment, but we’re working towards a larger update that will hopefully take care of that.
Jason – Yes, I’m still having this problem. I cannot get to any of my old messages. The only way I can send or view a message is using the direct link to that specific message.
