Was going through my tea cupboard and found a sachet of this. It smells very fruity and lovely in the sense that it’s sweet. I may have tried this once before, but I can’t remember. The first thing I taste is sweet orange, and its very good. I added a little sugar to enhance the taste, although I’m sure it could go without. I just really love orangey kind of teas. I haven’t found many of them so far.
The only thing I don’t like about this tea is there’s a weird aftertaste I cannot place. It has been sitting in my cupboard, so maybe that’s it. But it’s nothing I can’t handle. This tea is still sweet and fruity goodness.

Really fruity and flavourful! The mandarin gives a nice tang and sweetness. I don’t find this too sour, which is a nice surprise. I liked this as a strong iced tea, but if you don’t steep it too long it makes a nice hot tea as well.

i wonder if the mandarin and orange offsets the brandy taste that i don’t like in honeybush

Arby

I found you could still taste the honeybush. The mandarin goes along with the honeybush instead of covering it up.

If you’re looking for a non-honeybush orange herbal, I’d suggest Celestial Seasoning’s Mandarin Orange Spice or Tangerine Orange Zinger. I enjoy both of those.

i might try them someday

Nice, very gentle tea. Nothing to jump out and bite you; no tannic taste or funky OJ flavor, or rooibos dryness. I’d drink this at night when I just want a hot beverage but no particularly strong flavor. Like others said, you want to shake the dust off the teabag first. I probably wouldn’t buy a whole box of this, but would be glad to find it in a sampler.

gmathis posted a review of this tea today and I impulsively bought it. After experimenting with a peach/orange tea from Tetley and being disappointed I figured I’d like to try another orange blend, especially with iced tea season right around the corner.

I must say I was thoroughly impressed with this tea. It conveyed the taste of a mandarin orange perfectly- probably even better than any blend (which includes loose leaf!) I’ve ever had. I tried it hot and after it had gotten cold and both times were lovely. This tea was about $4/20 tea bags so it’s a really good deal for your dollar.

My son-in-law bought some of this for me in Ireland before he and my daughter were even engaged and I really liked it!

Nice! I saw this at Safeway (a grocery store I don’t go too very often) so I impulsively bought it. For once, it turned out to be a good decision! ;)

Hubby picked this one out; his comment when he took a test sniff was, “Orange Crush!” I get that. Sweet without being sugary; smooth with no tartness.

The differences between rooibos and honeybush are very subtle. You can correct me if your palate doesn’t agree, but to me, rooibos is nuttier and shines when it’s paired with ice creamy flavors like vanilla and chocolate. Honeybush is a little brighter and fruitier, so it is a good match for the orangey goodness Twinings added to this blend.

I just did an Arkansas “fun tea” run, so I’ll have some new lovely loose leaf to yammer about soon, but recently, I’ve stumbled on some very pleasant, fuss-free bagged options that make life a little simpler. This is one of them.

MadHatterTeaDrunk

One of my favorite teas! Doesn’t last long in my house!

gmathis

I’m thinking this will be great chilled when the weather warms up.

Kristal

Might need to pick this up for iced teas!

MadHatterTeaDrunk

It’s a great sun tea or as a cold brew. I’ve had both last summer. Quite refreshing!

Kristal

Just picked up this and another tea at the grocery store. I’ll be reviewing soon! :)

This was an excellent honeybush tea. The dry tea smelled great (a blend of both mandarin orange and honeybush). When the tea was steeping the mandarin orange was the dominant smell.

The tea tasted like a warm, pleasantly sweet blend of honeybush and mandarin orange. I would recommend this tea (especially for honeybush tea lovers).

I was sent two bags of this tea to try from Shae…she remembered that I liked honeybush, and sent this my way. The orange is a little bit creamsicle, but I’m ok with that. I did end up adding milk at the end, which added to the creamsicle-ness.

I have one more bag. I may have it, or I may pass it on to a friend…not sure yet. But I like it. I probably would not get more, because it is not that different than something I can get locally.

The 3rd tea I’ve tried that contains mandarin and the only palatable one. I was cautious after having tried Tazo’s orange tea, but this is delightful. Very and truly orangey. If you just want orange without messing about with other flavours then you will probably like this. Very good with a spoon of sugar.

My husband has a friend at work who gave him a bag of this tea to try a while back. He really enjoyed it so when I saw a box at Whole Foods the other day I grabbed it. The dry bag smells exactly like the orangeade I used to drink as a kid. It also, in a strange way, reminds me of those candy wax lips we used to chew. The taste is reminiscent of the wax lips even if the smell is mostly orange. It’s a weak cup, unfortunately, so perhaps next time I’ll use less water. I’m a little disappointed in this one because it smells so good and tastes so bland and watery.

This is one of my sister’s favorites so I figured I’d grab a cup while she’s not looking. It smells like a hot Tang. It’s aftertaste is similar to that, so if you find that appealing, I’d recommend it. It has enough of the Honeybush to balance the fragrant mandarin, but only at the start. Might not be my cuppa tea. :)
