I had a cup of this tea last night before bed and when I awoke this morning I was shown that it had snowed over night. What a strange coincidence :)

The tea was very vanilla and pineapple in smell but I also found it a little soapy, something very familiar but I could just not put my finger on (so to speak). The colour was yellow.

The taste was very creamy pineapple, almost like an ice cream but less sweet. It was also smooth and rather full on flavour to match it’s potent smell.

Overall it was very interesting but in a positive way, still I wish I could think of what it reminds me of. Never mind.

I’ve been trying to be better about logging my teas, but I haven’t been doing a very good job! I have to work on it. Lately, I’ve noticed that I’ve been drawn more to oolongs and white teas, when I used to always want black teas and very sweet flavors. Perhaps my tastes are changing.

This tea was one I received for Christmas from my mom. I’m still not too experienced with white teas, so I won’t be able to give the best review of this. The steeped smell is a very nice creamy smell. The first taste of the sip is a creamy vanilla-ish flavor. I can really taste the white tea once it hits the back of my tongue. I’m not really picking up much pineapple with this. I think I got this a bit too hot, so that is probably affecting the flavors. I’ll definitely mess around with the steep times and temperatures.

Tastes of hints of popcorn and butter, canned pastuerized pineapple juice, and a cool vanilla that is pleasant but in someways acts to take away the crispness that pineapple can have. The apple acts to add to the sweetness and tartness to the tea. I don’t notice the pepper but then I have eaten Traditional hot homemade curry in Rajhastan and have a high tolerance for hot spice. The white tea does provide a creaminess to the tea and both the green tea and white tea provide a thicker body to the beverage. The base teas also provide a sweetness and a nuttiness. The first 2 steepings atually reminded me a bit of popcorn covered with a fruity buttery coating. Later steepings are more creamy fruit tasting. Nice for when you want something fruity that is not overly tart or sweet.

So, after reading the reviews here I definitly had high hopes for this tea. Made myself a cup, and at first the aroma was amazing. It smelled like vanilla spice and I was excited. Letting it cool down to the point where it was drinkable was a mistake. The scent turned into nothing but pepper corn, and not in a remotely good way. I felt like I’d be drinking broth instead of tea, and it made it immesely hard to drink. When I finally got a few gulps down, it wasn’t terrible, but it took a good amount of honey to make it drinkable. I may give it another chance with some cream in it to see if its better that way, but I won’t be paying for it again. Glad I only got the sample of this one.

I really didn’t think I would like this as much as I do. The reason I was a bit unsure was because I am not a massive fan of pineapple. Turns out I’m into pineapple and vanilla though!

I’ve had a lot of flavoured black tea recently, so switching to this white and green mix was very refreshing. Visually, The tea looks nice and light, with flecks of red peppercorn and the light pineapple. It is very appealing.

The dry and wet smell reminds me of baking. That lovely warm cupcake vanilla with the pineapple immediately puts me at home in the kitchen baking with the wife.

The liquor is a pale yellow and tastes incredibly refreshing. No one flavour stood out above the others, which is a compliment because they all balanced very well. My main fear was that the pineapple would be overpowering, but that’s definitely not the case. It’s just slightly sweet with the vanilla, and the pineapple comes in just after that.

The green and white leaves mix well here. It seems to me like the green stops the vanilla from being sickly and the white adds this butteryness that probably blends to give me that cupcake vanilla and baking association.

Very pleased I tried this tea now. One problem though, I know others in the family who would love this tea as well, and this means I am going to have to share my sample! Oh well, just an excuse to order some more ;)
