From DAVIDsTEA

Cream of the crop.

It’s no secret raspberry cream pie is the star of every dessert party. This springtime treat has a habit of flaunting its flaky crust, creamy filling and fresh raspberry topping. And we fall for it every time. Beautiful on the outside and satisfyingly sweet on the inside, this decadent rooibos blend is no different. With white chocolate, raspberries, rose petals and pink sugar sparkles, there’s simply no resisting it. And with next to no calories, this is one indulgence you can feel good about.

Ingredients: Green rooibos, cane sugar, white chocolate chips (sugar, cocoa butter, milk powder, butter oil, soy lecithin, vanilla extract), pink sugar mix (sugar, carnauba wax, glycerine, beet juice, purple carrot, saffron, mica based pearlescent pigment (colour)), blackberries, raspberries, gomphrena petals, hibiscus, strawberry leaves, natural and artificial raspberry, blackberry and vanilla cream flavouring.

Contains milk and soy.

I dont think this tastes like a cream pie. It has a weird aftertaste and some odd sort of smell, underneath the smell of raspberry. almost like a food smell, like cat food? lol idk but its weird. maybe its the rooibos? idk i would have called this raspberry rooibos not “cream pie”. I dont like it. ill finish what i have but certainly won’t buy it again.

Last year I didn’t really care for this tea at all, but re trying it this year I’m REALLY enjoying it. (I guess tastes change) It’s got a nice raspberry flavour and creaminess to it. The rooibos adds a different taste to it, but it actually compliments the tea. I’m so glad it’s making a come back for Februarys TOTM. I assume this tea would be good in every way as well. Latte will be next :D

Typically I am not a fan of Rooibos. One of the few Rooibos teas I enjoy was the Carrot Cupcake from DAVIDsTEA. It definitely has a raspberry taste and a very mild rooibos flavor. It definitely is not as fruity or as flavorful as a fruity herbal infusion from DAVIDsTEA but I would imagine that it makes a great Tea Latte

This is quite possibly the BEST tea ever created by David’s. I bought a boatload when it first became available and am so disappointed that it was only available for the spring of 2016. It’s sweet and creamy, fully of flavour and whole raspberries with white chocolate chips. Makes an incredible hot latte with a splash of milk and sugar. I hope they will bring it back again this year!

Sample from Tea in Spoon’s stash sale. Thank you!

This is quite good. Sweet raspberry, white chocolate, and the green wood flavor of green rooibos. It’s like a white chocolate raspberry truffle, with the added flavor of rooibos. I quite like green rooibos so even though it strikes me as a slightly unusual flavor combination, I did enjoy it.

This tea is a funky, sassy vixen. If it were going to be a character, it’d be Six, the best friend on Blossom. Sweet, and young, and loudmouthed, and a teeny bit edgy, in a manageable way.
This has raspberry, creaminess, and something sort of tangy that lingers on the tongue. The tang (I think it’s the rooibos) balances out the sugar blast of the rest of it.
Flavorful caffeine-free teas are a great thing to have on hand when you’ve already gone far too hard on tea and soda and are a bit shaky. Speaking from experience. The experience of today. Pretty zipped-up, here.

I’m shocked to find a tea containing hibiscus that I don’t immeidatley dislike! This is a first for me folks. In the past, I’ve enjoyed the tantalizing aromas of other teas with ingredients in addition to hibiscus, only to find the flavour completely ruined by the hibiscus for me. In general, I’ve avoided any teas with hibiscus listed as an ingredient because of this. Suffice to say, I have a bit of a hibiscus bias.

I got this as a sample from a recent DAVIDs order and when looking through the ingredients had that disheartening quickening seeing the dreaded “H word”. It smells amazing though so I decided I’d give it a chance.

It has a decadent dessert aroma. When I took my first sip there was the sweet and creamy flavours of cream, vanilla, chocolate which is nicely balanced with the tartness of raspberries. It’s very pleasant. Maybe there’s less hibiscus in it, or maybe it’s just nicely hidden behind the raspberries. I enjoyed every sip.

Ah one of the few teas I still want to try – despite the mixed ratings and herbalness. It sounds so good!!

This tea is incredible hot, and I’m sure would make an awesome latte. Sweet, but not overpowering. The white chocolate balances out the fruitiness perfectly.

I liked this one. It was sweet and creamy, vaguely fruity. I don’t get any pie crust flavor, which was disappointing, but not bad overall.
