Hot buttered rum is so delicious we want it all day long. Unfortunately, most employers frown on workplace drunkenness, so we came up with this rich and creamy alternative. Toasted coconut and vanilla beans mingle with black tea in a caramelized caress of flavours. Decadent hot or iced, it also blends perfectly with dark rum, brown sugar and a dash of milk – so go ahead and indulge your inner pirate, off the clock. (MK Kosher)

I don’t drink alcohol, but the coconut in this tea pulled me in. The mix of flavours does pull out a rum smell and I showed it to an officemate who said it does smell like rum! This would probably have gotten a higher rating if I drank and liked rum. It’s definitely not bad!

Tastes pretty much exactly as it’s named. Wonderful! It has possibly more of a butterscotch taste than a rum taste, but it’s smooth and creamy and sweet without being sickly or over the top. Definitely a session tea, I could drink it all day. Totally forgot I even had it.

This was not bad. It’s a little like a few other ‘butter’ or ‘cream’ flavored black teas that I’ve had, but it does have a nice smooth taste. There is some sort of aftertaste that I wasn’t crazy about. The aftertaste was a bit smokey. Maybe it was the way I steeped it.

I had this as a latte with 2% and no agave, sugar or honey. I have to admit it was pretty tasty. But It did not wow me all that much. I’d grab it as a latte to go, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get a bag or tin for my home stash.

This tea is seriously delicious. I keep a stash in my desk at work and have in the afternoon when I need a boost. It smells wonderful in the package and tastes just as good. I usually put a small amount of milk in my tea but this tea really doesn’t need it; it tastes great with or without. Highly recommended!
