From DAVIDsTEA

Why try to resist this blend of cranberry and Japanese sencha with its twist of orange? Ice it and your life will never be the same. You’ll find yourself blissfully sipping it all summer long (sometimes, late at night, with a splash of vodka and triple sec). And come winter, the mere scent of it will stir up idyllic thoughts of sunny days, warm winds, deck chairs and rooftop parties.

I’m not much of a green tea fan, but this is one of the first I tried at David’s Tea about a year ago now and I still enjoy it. I get no green tea flavour or smell from it at all, as it is wildly potent with orange more than anything else for me. The cranberry is very muted…so much so that I never taste it, but that’s okay. As an orange flavoured green, I really do enjoy it. One of the teas that became a “gateway” tea before I knew anything at all…and a sign that my tastes might never become refined, : )

I don’t know what my problem was the first time I tried this tea, but I drank it again and quite enjoyed it. Maybe it’s just the sense of (hopefully) approaching mild weather, but it seemed so bright and cheery. Quite opinionated for a green tea.

The sencha in this counterbalances the fruitiness really well to make a delicate but juicy cup of tea. I found it not unlike the Den’s Tea pineapple sencha I so love. I will have to ice this one if I have the chance before I drink all of the little pouch of it hot.

i didn’t love this tea, BUT, it is reminiscent of the quality that davids used to be… it wasn’t doused with a million ingridents and flavours combatting one another.. it was actually just a couple of simple ingridents complimenting one another.. and for that i have to give this tea kudos.
