Now that’s fresh

When it comes to rooibos, some say green is the new red. Because while red rooibos tastes great, some say the new wave of unoxidized green rooibos is even better. What’s so special? The production process, which is similar to that of green tea, gives it a smooth, fresh taste. Here we’ve topped it up with the tropical flavours of papaya, apple, mango and peach. (MK Kosher)

Ingredients: Fair Trade Certified South African green and red rooibos, apple, mango, papaya. With artificial and natural flavouring*.

I liked it but don’t find it to be anything very special. Its a nice fruity cup hot or iced. You can taste the apple and papaya.

I should have known on dry sniff that this wouldn’t be quite as delicious as it smells. It’s quite tasty iced, but kind of hits you in the face with it’s fruit flavour. I really prefer the fruitiness in my tea to be more of an afterthought, rather than the main component. I don’t think I’d like it hot, but for what it is it really does make a nice summer drink.

I bought this one on a whim the other day. I had gotten some Tsacs so decided I wanted another Roobios to use them with.
This was a pleasant surprise for me. It is so nice and fruity. I even left the tea bag in today. It didn’t get bitter. My 2 year old even loved it. I really need to replenish this one with a tin.

As delicious as it is healthy, this naturally sweet green rooibos is definitely my rooibos favourite! A very refreshing cup that leaves me smiling after every sip. The chunks of fruit add a lovely aroma. Definitely recommended to anyone enjoying a nice sweet cup!

This tea is so refreshing! I love drinking it first thing in the morning on my way to work. Have recommended to all my tea drinking friends and they are in love. One of the best! @davidstea, @steepster #mycupoftea

I love this tea :) It reminds me of a tropical vacation. I can’t wait to try other summery teas from DavidsTea. Maybe it’s because we just changed the clocks to daylight savings time, but I am craving summer, and this tea is getting me even more excited :)

I adore this tea. Everyone I let try this one adores this tea! It’s a naturally sweet green rooibos with big chunks of apple and papaya fruit in it. The fruit flavour comes through nicely when this tea is steeped and it is very aromatic. It only gets better the longer it steeps and I like that it’s caffeine free so I can have this any time of day. This is my go-to teas when I want something fruity (but not berry-based).

I haven’t tried it iced yet but as a hot tea it’s only so so…I love green rooibos but the tea itself was quite overpowered by the fruit.
