Thank you RachanaC for a sample of this! I am backlogging while my daughter is down for a nap…she has a double ear infection and I have been busy since Thursday taking care of a clingy and sad toddler. So since my energy was completely diminished I decided what better to try than matcha?! It’s been 105 here lately so I decided to have a matcha latte and it was quite yummy. Smooth, sweet and grassy…yum!

LiberTEAS

Aww… I hope that she feels better soon. :(

Cofftea

Poor baby! I’m praying for her. Ear infections are no fun! Does she have a fever? if she does, you might want to try to find some decaf white tea to get it down. I was sick about a week ago and chugged white tea. Got my fever down pretty quick w/o fever reducing meds.

Thanks you guys! She is doing better after I got her into the doctor Friday afternoon…she’s on antibiotics for 10 days and after only being on it for a day and a half I can tell she is much better today than what she was…she hasn’t had a fever since early this afternoon so that’s a plus!

RachanaC (Rachel)-iHeartTeas

Glad she is doing better. Never a good feeling when your child and sick and you feel do helpless.

This is pretty good, but not great…I didn’t care for it much as is, was a bit tart and rough around the edges so I added 1/2tsp of rock sugar and a good dose of milk. Now that’s more like it! The milk really balances out the tartness and the roughness of this tea. I finsihed my whole cup pretty fast after I fixed it up and was looking for more! I don’t think I would buy this though since it’s not really my style of a tea, but I think it is pretty good once it has been “fixed up”.

Yummm this is SO good, thank you Ricky for sending this one to me. I had this hot and then I had it at room temp. and it was great both times. The milky taste came out a bit more as it cooled, but none the less it was still amazing! Caramel with a milky smoothness and a toasty finish to it…YUM!

This is a naturally sweet oolong, like really sweet! The plum flavor is definitley there with a little extra something…possibly a slight floral hint? I had this hot, but I think it would be pretty amazing iced. I had family over this weekend so my time was spent trying to entertain guests and keep the house clean from the kids toys everywhere, so I am backlogging and didn’t get to really enjoy my tea during my “down time”, but it was still a nice pick me up but almost a tad too sweet for my taste… like I said, I need to try it iced (I tend to like my iced tea a bit sweet versus my hot tea) hehe. Oh and before I forget, I thought it was really cool how the tea unfurls into huge, fat tea leaves!

Do you get the Lupicia magazine and if so do you like it? Thanks :-)

-Jessica-

It’s just like the one they have online, with maybe an extra added page. (I’ll have to look again), but it’s only a couple of pages of info. But hey, I still like it…especially the tea recipes! :-D

Oh and it comes with 2 samples! hehehe

drank Strawberry & Vanilla by Lupicia

I had this hot last night without any milk, but did add about 1/2tsp of german rock sugar (as I do to most of my teas). Now, the smell of this tea smells soooo good, just like a glass of Promise Land strawberry milk! When I went to search the bag/tin for how to steep it, it said “boiling water for 2-5 minutes”! Now, I was afraid with it being a green tea that boiling water wouldn’t be a good idea, but I did as they said and steeped for 2.5mins. The smell off the strawberry milk is still very much there with a bit of the sencha smell. I tasted it and it tastes like strawberry milk…umm in tea form! LOL which is a little watery since it is tea, but my brain and nose kept telling me, “this is strawberry milk! It will be thick and creamy!” sooo since it wasn’t “thick and creamy” my brain was 10 different kinds of confused by this! Still a good tea, but I imagine this is one that definitley needs to be iced and/or have milk added first before drinking =)~ I will be trying this one very soon with some milk!

I call this “kinda sort flavored matcha” lol. I’ve made this and put a little extra matcha (1 scoop) in it.

WOW! This tea is one of a kind IMO. I bought the limited edition tin because I thought it was cute (I have a thing for cute tins LOL) and just hoped that I would like it enough to make all of the tea that came with it, since I normally will buy a sample or a small sized pouch first to “taste test it”. Anyways, I am so glad I got this in the larger amount! I opened it up and smelled it and it smelled like a fresh, juicy peach and a bit of sugared rose petals to just give it that extra exquisiteness. This is the perfect balance of flavors, the oolong tastes very good and the peach tastes 100% natural and the bit of the sugary rose is subtle and nice compliment to the fruit to give it that extra oomph! This will be one of my “must have this tea on hand at all times”! Also, I had this hot and I can hardly wait to try it iced as I am sure it will be even better! I think I will go ahead and order another pouch of this now to have on hand as back up…I can see myself making pitchers of this iced for summer!

They totally got me with the tin, too!

This is my first Earl Grey green tea that I have tried and it’s pretty good. I can taste the subtle green tea and the bergamont, which is not over powering or perfumey. One weird thing though is that I kept getting a slight lemongrass taste from this tea and I’m not sure if lemongrass is actually used in here or if that’s the taste that is somewhat formed by mixing bergamont with green tea? All in all this is pretty good, but nothing to write home about.

Woo hoo I finally tried this tea thanks to RachanaC! Ummm nom nom nom this is so good and silky feeling and the vanilla and honey taste as if they were creamed together in perfect harmony. I find myself gulping this tea and then sipping it and maximize the pleasure I am getting from this… I am off to order a big tin of this while it is on sale! I can totally see this as being one of my “go to” teas like my jasmine pearls…something I can enjoy at anytime of the day. Ugh, this is SOOO good!

You must try it cold.=D

RachanaC (Rachel)-iHeartTeas

Cofftea is right cold is so awesome! I am happy you enjoyed this.

-Jessica-

I was thinking it would be good cold, but I wasn’t sure if it would be good cold or not…I will do! I am surfing the LeafSpa’s site now…I may get another tea along with my purchase, any suggestions? :-D

RachanaC (Rachel)-iHeartTeas

I really enjoy the Banspaty Bliss black tea. Then again I have a few from there I enjoy a lot. My hubby and I love the Lemon Drop black tea.

Cofftea

Jessica, their matcha is amazing.

Profile

Bio

I am a tea enthusiast who is always looking to try a new tea, but my all time favorite is jasmine pearls…or anything with jasmine in it really. I also am a sushi fanatic and simply can’t live without it. Outside of my fanatasy world of all things tea and sushi I am an executive assistant, mother of 2 and personal taxi/maid and chef service for my little family.

But back to the tea!

I love Jasmine Pearls, just about any White Tea and then we have Pu-erh coming in last as my top three.

However, I still enjoy a good Earl Grey tea, the more bergamot the better! I have a fond place in my heart for Matcha, especially iced Matcha Lattes. Flavored green teas are always fun, but I tend to stay away from the overly grassy tasting ones… they always remind me of a wheatgrass shot!

It takes a special black tea to really win me over, for me I find that they all taste too much alike or tend to be too bitter at times; I think I am more so bored with them.

Oolongs are fairly new to me and I am finding that these are really good and they will probably end up making it as one of my top contenders!

Pu-erh I have yet to try; I am very curious, but a bit scared to try it… something about being aged in a cave just frightens me a bit, but I would like to try one in the very near future :-) Update – I have tried a few pu-erhs and I can’t get enough of them! While they are definitely an acquired taste they are lovely! This has now taken over rooibos in my top 3 teas of choice!
