130 Tasting Notes
Mamma mía, hello there cinnamon! I expected this to be a green tea flavoured with orange peels and a hint of cinnamon but it’s more like a cinnamon infusion with a few green tea leaves and a little almost imperceptible hint of orange. I have to say that the name in French of this tea translates to “spicy orange” so that’s why I had such presumptions. The name in English is better. Actually, why are the tea leaves so dark? They look black. It’s a very intense tea and the taste of cinnamon heart candies stays in my mouth for hours. But I love that taste so whatever :)
My first Mariage Frères! Jeez, this tastes like quality! The ingredients don’t attract me particularly but it is everything it promises to be. Good quality leaves, very well balanced. Can’t wait to be able to try a Mariage Frères with ingredients that attracts me more.
This is a nice smooth tea. It’s roasted but not too heavy and is good hot or cold-steeped. Actually one of the few if not the only tea with fruit that I like in a hot cup of tea. I liked it and would be happy to receive it again but I wouldn’t pay any money to have it again.
I prefer jasmine in green teas. This one is not bad, but I think the robustness of the black leaves overpowers too much the nice flowery flavour of jasmine. So nice though to see those little grey balls open up like flowers. DT is definitely overpricing this item so I won’t buy again.
The oolong is very present, very vegetal. It smells heavenier than heaven but the caramel is not present enough in the cup in my opinion. The liquid is pretty light-coloured; I’m surprised about this since the oolongs I drank were usually darker (almost like a black tea). This one looks somewhere between a white and a green tea.Like it, will finish it, but not buying again.

I like matcha. I like mint. But when I opened the bag I thought it smelled so weird… The colour of the powder and the final drink is terrible, it’s brown (or muddy green)! I know this is meant to be a kind of way for people to begin drinking matcha but if I would have started with this, I don’t think I would have wanted to try real proper matcha! I’m glad I started with matcha matsu.
Nothing exciting. It’s too light. It has a fruity berry taste (which I’m not a fan of, anyway). I wish the tea base would be stronger (there is sencha in this? really?). However, I have to say that the blend itself, dry, is beautiful. Glad I could try it, would never buy it.

Preparation
It tastes really similar to Strawberry-Rhubarb Parfait in my opinion but more tart and overall less good. I didn’t buy it myself (because I knew it wasn’t something I would like) but someone send a sample to me. It’s nice that I got it for free but I wouldn’t buy that again.
Preparation
Love it! My favourite chai from David’s Tea (well… I disliked all the other chais from DT…). Also, I disliked most of the rooibos I tried but this one is really great! I finished my stash of it so I have to go buy some more.
