A friend of mine picked up a few samples to try from Teavana when she went up north a few days ago. I really wish I had Teavana or David’s near me. Or maybe not, I’d probably spend too much money!
This is a beautiful dark red color, but worries me about the sour factor. I’m not against hibiscus but too many teas lately seem to rely too heavily on it really. Now that fall is pretty much here, I guess we’ll be seeing more spices. Yay! (Pumpkin Chai anyone??)
Wow. This is already sugared somehow, it seems many of Teavana’s tea are. I usually try to drink mine unsugared just because I like to drink a lot of tea and prefer not to ingest a ton of sugar through my drinks. Other than tea, I’m mainly a water person. Anyways…
There is a sour factor, but it’s pretty much nearly offset by whatever sugar is in the tea. It’s a little… “one note” for a tea. I was expecting a little more depth in the flavors. I bet this would be really good iced, I might try that once I finish my DT rose congou green that’s iced.
