drank Orange Spice by Bentley's

This is just nasty harsh. It irritated my throat. The taste was heavily cinnamon flavored. I detected no orange and little tea taste. I removed this from the chest so as not to ever accidentally drink this again!

drank White Peach Oolong Tea by Stash Tea
1719 tasting notes

Contains Wuyi oolong tea, orange peel, lemongrass, and white peach flavor. When you tear open the envelope you are immediately surrounded by flowery, sweet, fruity goodness. The aroma in the cup is a little more subdued but wonderful. Upon sipping the white peach flavor is very obvious. Not in an overwhelming way but just right. The other ingredients support the peach very well. For another grossly undersized Stash bag this is pretty good.

drank Chocolate Mint Oolong by Stash Tea
1719 tasting notes

Contains wuyi oolong tea, peppermint, chocolate flavor, cocoa powder, and carob powder. Doesn’t this just sound delicious? It’s like a York Peppermint Patty in a cup. Tearing open the envelope an sniffing I caught myself going, oh yeah! The aroma after brewing was, oh man! Took the first sip and, hey where did the flavor go? Added a little sweetener and Mmmm. Without the sweetener the tea flavor was far more pronounced but the chocolate seemed nonexistent. With the sweetener all the flavors blended and the peppermint added that icy blast I was hoping to get. For a typical Stash undersized bag this is seriously good.

drank Coconut Pouchong by Golden Moon Tea
1719 tasting notes

This was a sample provided by Golden Moon. Beautiful long leaves and essence of coconut. While I like coconut, I was pretty sure it did not belong in tea. Approaching this tea with caution, I was more than pleasantly surprised. The liquor is very light, almost clear, in the cup and the aroma is wonderful. The coconut taste was very smooth and creamy with a natural sweetness. The leaves really expand when steeped. I got a total of 9 infusions out of the sample packet before a co-worker made me throw it away. Patting the leaves dry to use again the next day was too much for him. I just couldn’t bring myself to part with this tea as it is very addictive. Each cup tasted as good as the first. The closest I have to a negative comment is the flavors blend so perfectly it was a little difficult to separate out the taste of the tea.

Cofftea

I woulda told him to go fly a kite. No one makes or even suggests I throw out tea.

I am convinced there was at least two more cups in those leaves. Sounds a bit expensive until you factor in the multiple infusions. So good.

Cofftea

Even the most inexpensive tea is wasted if you don’t get everything out of it. I’ve definitely done 9+ infusions (Um hello Beer Black Tea from ManTeas) :)

drank Rose Tea by Golden Moon Tea
1719 tasting notes

This is a sample I received from Golden Moon. My first rose tea. I finished the cup but did not desire a second. It is probably good. I just don’t care. My wife on the other hand enjoyed this tea a lot.

drank Earl Grey by Stash Tea

It’s Earl Grey so I give them an E for effort on this black tea. The problem for me is the brew is too weak to enjoy (1.6g). The taste is pleasant enough. There just isn’t enough of it.

drank Lotus by Tazo
1719 tasting notes

I probably steep this a little longer (5 minutes) in a little hotter water than I am supposed to use but it works for me. Not overly grassy. No bitterness. The tea base is good but not great. The treat for me is the lotus. Not overpowering. I do wish this came in a non-decaf loose leaf. I would easily double my usage. As is, it is great for a late afternoon or evening relaxing drink.

drank Darjeeling by Ahmad Tea
1719 tasting notes

This is a very enjoyable cup of tea but the brew can become bitter if you steep for too long. The instructions say 3 to 5 minutes steep time. I say stay on the low end of the limit and go longer only after tasting. This is my first Darjeeling.

Preparation
Boiling 3 min, 0 sec

drank Green Tea with Earl Grey by Ahmad Tea
1719 tasting notes

This is my favorite go to tea. I start everyday at work with this tea. The bergamot flavoring is just the right amount to give the tea a wonderful aroma and a taste that draws you in and begs you to relax. It does not overpower the green tea, which I find to have very good flavor. I find Twinings new formula too citrusy. With Tazo the citrus is non-existant. Ahmad’s tea I find to be balanced. I have used it loose and in bags.
