Definitely one of the prettier teas that I’ve seen, and the aroma in the tin is absolutely delicious. It’s a decent tea when brewed hot, a yummy, fruity confection, but nothing earth-shattering. I can coax about 3 good infusions out of it, which is always nice.

The game changes, though, when it’s cold-brewed. It becomes bright, bold, sweet, tropical. I don’t get vegetal hints while drinking; it’s almost pure fruitiness. I’m running low on it now, because I’ve always got a jar cold-brewing in my fridge.

Flavors: Fruity, Green, Tropical, Vegetal

Ohhh….this tea. So delicate and lovely and confusing all at once. As others have mentioned, it looks like pine needles when dry. After steeping, it reminded me of cooked collards or spinach. The taste is also vegetal, but not overwhelmingly so. I also got some grassy hints in there, as well. There’s some butteriness in there, too, just to round things out. The finish was pleasantly, refreshingly sweet. I have just enough in my sample pack for one more go, so I think I’m going to steep at a lower temp next time round.

This Sencha has nutty and vegetal flavors that make for a refreshing and slightly sweet cup. The flavors are well-balanced, although it doesn’t finish as smooth as I expected it to. All in all, not a bad tea.

drank Golden Honey Dew by Lupicia

I will come right out and say that I DON’T like rooibos. Something about it is medicinal and off-putting. But this…THIS is magical. It’s sweet and melony and wonderful. The first time I put it over ice was a life-changing experience. Now there’s always a pitcher of iced Golden Honeydew in my fridge.

Flavors: Honeydew, Melon, Round, Smooth, Sweet

I fondly refer to this tea as the Frankenberry Cereal tea, because that’s what it smells and tastes like to me. I do find that I have to use a higher leaf-to-water ratio (2 heaping teaspoons to about 10 oz of water), but I can usually get 2 good infusions and a 3rd passable one. All in all, this tea is pretty fantastic, hot or iced.

Flavors: Fruity, Strawberry

Not one of my favorites, which was a disappointment, considering how much I love cherry-flavored anything. The smell is decent when opening the package, but once steeped, it tasted artificial (it reminded me of liquid children’s Tylenol). Very off-putting, won’t be drinking again.

Hands down one of my favorite teas ever. While it has very, very faint vegetal notes that are characteristic of green teas, the almonds and cinnamon combine to make this good enough to be a dessert substitute. I could drink this tea every day.

Honestly, my first thought about this tea was that it tastes like Trix cereal. It could almost be a breakfast replacement, what with the cereal taste and the caffeine content needed to get my engine going in the morning. I take it with a splash of cream, and it’s fruity to begin with, but finishes with caramel and vanilla notes. The only downside is that it only produces 1 good infusion (the 2nd is very weak), but I’ve found this is a common trait among black teas.
