drank Rose Garden by Twinings
169 tasting notes

Another sample from the lovely Ashmanra
I think I was besotted from the first moment I tore open its little packet.
I realized that this is the first Rose tea I have ever tasted (I have had floral teas with rose in them but never just a Rose and Black tea)
I love the name Rose Garden, for that is exactly what it smells like, a whole garden full of those pink English Roses.
As I was sipping this, I literally caught myself with my pinky raised, HA!
But, it just feels like that kind of tea.
Taste is sweet, lightly floral and very proper.
If you don’t like roses, do not even try this tea.
But, for me, I am thinking a Rose Tea is needed for my permanent collection.
As I was sipping this tea, I was looking through Pinterest and bumped into this, which made the whole Rose experience even more British:

I love the Doctor! Ad I am glad you liked this tea! If you liked this one, it is very much like Rose Scented from Harney and Sons. If you want a really rosy tea with a little more heft to the base, try Upton Rose Congou. Or just keep getting this one! :)

Well, I just ordered some Upton Rose Congou. I am glad to hear it is a good one:)
I might have to try H&S’s sometime too.
I was not able to find this one online anywhere. Is it another one you get from your SIL or how do you get it?

I liked the Rose Congou a lot, and I’m a little picky about how much floral I let filter into my cup. Ashmanra’s right; it has a punch behind the elegance. (Like Violet Crawley!)

Indeed, he brought it from Ireland but is happy to bring or ship anything we want! I could have sworn I had seen it at A Southern Season in Chapel Hill. I will check next time I am there.

Bio

A Farmer’s Wife who drinks her tea to forget the din of the world.
Love all tea, from black to herbal concoctions.
Usually start my day with black tea and then move on to Oolong or Green in the afternoon, then finish the day with a tisane.
Loose Leaf teas are my preference, I say “Free the Leaves!” :)
When I am not drinking tea, I enjoy knitting, baking, reading, playing with one of our rescue animals or working along side my husband on our farm.

My rating system is rather relaxed:
50’s or under- Um, is this tea or did I get this from the slop bucket?
60’s- Not really my thing, certainly will not be purchasing again.
70’s- I will give this tea a few more tries to see if it grows on me , right now it is okay but not thrilling me.
80’s- Like this tea a lot. It might be a tea that I have to be in a certain mood for and therefore not a daily drinker, but try to have on hand for those “moods”
90’s and higher- ADORE! Will never be without!

I most always drink my tea plain.
No sweeteners or milk/cream.
