drank Rose Congou Green by DAVIDsTEA

I’ve never been more sad about a tea being discontinued. :(

A beautiful English rose garden… that was what it was — both in taste and imagery.

drank Russian Country by Harney & Sons

I bought this on a whim after reading a review of a gentleman who drank this tea while reading long Russian tomes (Tolstoy’s War and Peace). It isn’t just the English major in me that pounced on this coupling of images. The scent of books and a smokey, full cuppa…. Well, I am a fan of the occasional wintry smoked tea, especially because it brings to mind 19thc Russia, or frosted windows by a rustic fireplace…

drank Jasmine Green Dragon by Namasthé

A fair-trade, organic, British Columbian (!!!) tea that epitomises the best of jasmine greens, to me. This is so delicate, yet very, very floral, but not to the point that it makes it bitter. (No matter how long I let it steep, it didn’t go very bitter at all)

You could taste the smooth body of the green and the lightness of the jasmine mingling together on your palate. After drinking this, I felt so, so refreshed and inspired. The scent of jasmine still lingers on the tea bag package, and it has been a few days since I opened it up (I saved the bag for the company name).

Lovely, lovely. Definitely recommend!

Jasmine green tea is one of my utmost favourite teas, and it makes me very sad when I come across one that either doesn’t taste like jasmine, or simply doesn’t do it justice. (I’m one for floral, floral, floral — I can’t get enough of that delicate aroma and “clean” taste)

The taste of jasmine is in this one, but for some reason it is peculiarly bitter to the point that it skewers both the taste of the green and the jasmine taste. It’s just an astringent bitter flavour.

I agree with other people about drinking it cold. It is easier to recognise the flower taste then.

drank Decaf Pumpkin Spice by Stash Tea

It’s very a very autumnal flavour — very spicy. I do think that the nutmeg overpowers it though, and there wasn’t enough “pumpkin” flavour for my tastes. I would enjoy more pumpkin since I feel like that earthy flavour would compliment this…. I suppose I was expecting a bit more. Not a bad tea, but more for one who prefers a tea heavy on the spices (or the nutmeg).

At least there was no licorice, which is the one reason I stay away from chai-like teas. :)

I enjoyed this a lot with some almond milk and extra added matcha (for I can never have enough green tea!). Especially delicious with a bit of whipped cream on top, if you’re feeling extravagant.

drank Pure English Mint by Summerdown

I will admit that I have tried many, many different peppermint teas, and Summerdown English mint surpasses all of them.

Before you even open the box, your senses are flooded with a delicious, genuine peppermint scent that gets you all the more excited to try it. The taste itself is very much like the scent – pure, and without either tasting artificial, like candy canes, or too herbaceous as to no longer even resemble peppermint. This is a perfect, natural brew: What peppermint tea should be.

I think it is especially delicious with a bit of dark chocolate as an afternoon snack, or in the morning, as it is so refreshing.
