The hotel provides this so I thought I’d try it out.

I would just like to get it off my chest that K-Cup packaging makes me sad. Why?!

Not sure if it was the Coffee Mate whitener I added in or the tea itself, but this was nasty. Tasted like cardboard. Two sips and it went down the drain.

To (sort of) make up for it, I had a chai latte at a nearby French bakery, which was decent. Not as spicy as I’d like but a million times better than this.

I think it’s because it’s so standardized it takes the individuality an personality out of the art of tea drinking. However, the machine does make me laugh because the first time I was faced with one at a hotel I was working with a team of people and one of my co-workers had to change her room because the phone was not working properly. She called us all excited because she thought she had been upgraded and given executive suite with an espresso maker so the group of us decided to hang out in her room over pizza. It turns out that her espresso machine was the same machine we all had in our room and it was very far from an espresso machine. The hotel wasn’t bad but it was a fr cry from one of the hotels we stayed at that was like something out of a james bond film with a control panel that controlled everything next to our bed!

iiick, cardboard tea! I was digging in the clearance bin at my local grocery store and saw a bunch of those K-cup teas marked down and I was pretty horrified they did that to tea.

Oolong Owl

that, I mean, turned the poor tea into k-cup machined stuff.

OMGsrsly

You are braver than I. The last time I hotelled, I brought my own tea. :)

I used one of these and opened it once, it looked like brownie mix inside it was so finely ground in there :(

You’re right yyz, it really is degrading for tea. I honestly don’t understand how people can drink this stuff.

No wonder why they’re sitting in the clearance bin.

I would have brought my own tea but was in such a rush to leave, plus wasn’t sure if there would be a kettle/hot water. Oh well! You learn.

Ewwww cardboard!? I’ve never tried anything in a k-cup form, but it doesn’t sound like I’m missing anything
