Has anyone tried the English Tea store ones beore and know if the different calenders contain different teas?
I haven’t tried them because I think they all have only 12 or so varieties that are repeated twice each.
I don’t know either, but I know their teas are rather so-so. Maybe my palate has developed too much to enjoy those cheap teas, though :)
I can suggest Sonnentor, which have 24 different teas for sure; though most of them are herbal. I think there were just 3 teas with caffeine (one black, one green and one white) last year.

Wow! Thanks for putting together such a comprehensive list with links and all! There are some companies I haven’t heard of, which is always fun for an advent.
Maybe this will be the year I finally do an advent calendar! I’m looking for one with unflavoured tea or maybe one from a French company like Dammann. It would be nice to keep it relatively affordable (so not the Sazen advent at like $200) with shipping to Canada. Any thoughts?
Siam Tee Shop had last year a decent advent with, mostly, unflavoured teas. They don’t have it on the website yet.
The Tea Practitioner does a nice unflavored advent! I assume she’ll offer it again this year.
Cameron, thanks for the suggestion! I thought about buying from this company last year but the calendar was out of stock by then. The price looks good and some of the teas look interesting.
I’m definitely planning on 52teas and Tea Thoughts this year (Nazanin said the TT box is going to release on Oct. 3). Would love to get a third calendar from a new-to-me company. Anyone got any sleeper hits that ship within the US and don’t go heavy on black & pu’erh teas?
Yawn last year didn’t had much of blacks if I recall correctly. And they have caffeine free opinion. I am not so sure about shopping though, but last year customs fees were on their behalf or included in shipping price.
Does anyone have experience with Churchill’s Fine Teas? They currently look like my best option for an herbal calendar.
So many companies not shipping to the US this year, and it’s really bumming me out… QQ
I see there are a few more French companies now. Is there an affordable way to ship one of their calendars to Canada? The Tea Practitioner’s calendar is still not out yet.
Also, if anyone is considering the regular or matcha advent calendar from Nio Tea, my 15% discount code should still work (LEAFHOPPER15). I got the regular calendar for free a few years ago and it was a nice introduction to Japanese green tea (though it didn’t convert me into a matcha drinker).
