drank Orchid Oolong by Mighty Leaf Tea

This is one of my favorite flavored oolongs of all times. I love coconut and I can really appreciate the elegant tropical floral/coconut combination here. I drink this in the afternoons and it always manages to perk me up. Almost feels too decadent to be a tea. :)

This is a delicious pu-erh which is earthy and slightly sweet, very mellow tea with no bitterness or acidity. I usually steep mine at least twice and it is a lovely tea to drink all morning or afternoon

drank Orange Chocolat by Lupicia
2816 tasting notes

I have discovered I am not such a fan of chocolate in tea, nonetheless I am drinking this because I bought some! It does not really have much of an aroma at all. The flavor is not too strong, just a mild orange black tea with a hint of cocoa. What really makes this kinda special for me is the cardamom, I am a cardamom freak. I would probably not go out of my way to buy this again but it certainly is a good, pleasant dessert tea.

drank Strawberry by Lupicia

hmm, I agree with the other review here, the aroma of the tea is fabulous but I was really hoping for more of a strawberry flavor, I recommend the strawberry black rhubarb tea from Lupicia, it’s a lot more interesting.

Jenn

AMY!!!! I’m going to Lupicia this weekend and I’m going to try the strawberry black rhubarb on your recomendation :)

TeaBrat

yes! I also like the Strawberry and Chocolate pu-erh and the Sakurambo Vert. And the pineapple oolong! You’ll have fun!!

Jenn

The pineapple oolong is my primary reason for going. AND it’s on the westside so that means lunch at Veggie Grille… too much fun!!!

TeaBrat

Let me know what you end up buying!

drank Cinnamon Plum by Rishi Tea
2816 tasting notes

This is one of my favorite herbal teas, thank you again Rishi! I love the dark purple color of this tea and it smells divine. Warming and smooth. The plum and cinnamon are deep and earthy while the hibiscus gives it a slightly tart note, but not too overwhelming. I could drink this for hours every day and never get sick of it. Very highly recommended for fruit tea lovers as a unique experience.

drank Pineapple Oolong by Lupicia

So I discovered a Lupicia opened up in San Francisco, I’ve been trying a lot of their yummy flavored teas. This one is charming, the pineapple flavor is very pronounced and leaves you with a slightly tart finish – very refreshing and clean. Definitely a good match for the oolong. I did not pick up any coconut, however…

drank Pu Erh Poe by Adagio Teas

hmm. what can I say about puerhs – it seems like you either love them or hate them.

I am fairly new to the puerh scene but discovered they make a great substitute for coffee. This tea is low in tannins and not very acidic to the stomach.

The first infusion is indeed very dark, as several others have commented. The flavor is mildly malty and earthy. I added So Delicious coconut milk creamer to this because I prefer my black tea with some creaminess. This reminds me of a shiitake mushroom broth and made a nice breakfast drink.

Overall I was very pleased but I’m not sure it’s something I would go out of my way to find again.

You could also say that how you prepare it can depend on if you love or hate it lol.

drank Rhubarb & Strawberry by Lupicia

This tea is a delicious, uplifting morning brew with a bit of soymilk. One thing I love about Lupicia is their strawberry flavor really comes through. This tea is very aromatic with a hint of tartness. Highly recommended if you like fruit teas.

drank Turmeric Ginger by Rishi Tea

I normally like everything by Rishi but this tea was way too strong for me – I threw the unused portion away, which is rare for me.

This sounds good. Maybe its not delicious but good for your health….

TeaBrat

I should have tried cooking with it, perhaps. :)
