This was the tea that started my love for Earl Grey teas. Prior to drinking this I’d always found Earl Grey a bit too bitter for my tastes and so I usually avoided it. However last year for Mother’s Day I decided to get my Mom some tea and on a whim got her this one.

Needless to say I tried some with her, and to my surprise I loved it. I think the fruit really complimented the bergamot in a way that appealed to me. It wasn’t long before I had to buy my own tin and this became my weekend morning tea. It’s now competing with a few other Earl greys but it’s still one of my favorites.

Love this thing so much! My boyfriend and I bought it this spring and have used it almost every week to make a new batch of iced tea. I really can’t imagine life without it.

This tea is a beautiful little treat. The jasmine gives it a naturally sweeter taste and it’s one of the only black teas I don’t add milk to. I bought 50g it on a whim back when DavidsTea was promoting their straight teas and have had it sparingly since as it’s pretty pricey and stock they ran out shortly afterwards. Either way, now that it’s back I’ll definitely be grabbing a tin to stock up.

I picked this tea up just after Christmas having fallen for the intoxicating smell and rich, sweet flavouring. It’s definitely a dessert tea and goes great with a light simple pastry. Great for an indulgent Sunday afternoon.
Sadly I have noticed it’s a really heavy tea, and because of that I can never bring myself to steep a second cup of it. It’s also more of a treat, I don’t think I could drink it regularly. I’ll have to try it with milk and see if that lightens it up a bit.

This was the tea that hooked me on David’s Tea. It was recommended on one of my first lunch trips when I was super stressed out at work and quickly became my go to comfort tea. It was also my first tin purchase. My boyfriend actually turned me on to drinking this with a teaspoon of honey. Really brings out the flavouring of the coconut.

The second steep definitely brings out more of the lavender and loses some of the coconut. If I’m making this for me and someone else I usually do a 30 second steep in each cup to get the flavouring and colour and then let each steep afterwards for a few more minutes.
