10 Seconds rinse. 1st Brew: 1 min. Smell like earthy moss. Gold and amber in colour. Poured in a glass cup. Taste like resin and earthy. The taste and warm sensation in my mouth disappear quickly. Medium dryness. Mild in flavours. 2nd Brew: 1 min. 45. Humidity feeling, warm moved to the back of my throat, stay a little bit longer but still disappear quickly. Slightly woody taste and feeling. 3rd Brew: 3 min. 45. Now it is more warmer in my mouth than at the back of my throat. Still, the warm sensation disappear quickly. More dryness. Woody notes, with more earthy flavour without the resin taste. Last Brew: 6 minutes. Taste dirt. Nice for an afternoon autumn day.

This is my third tasting for this tea cake.

Smell: Forest-like, a hint of burnt honey and tobacco.

1 Rinse, 1st brew: 2 min. 15 sec. : A bright earthy sweet and smooth tea. The aftertaste is pleasant — hint of honey. The flavour of this liquor is a little bit reminiscent of green tea.

Second brew : 3 min. 45 sec. : Smokey and bitter with a little bit of sweetness — odd combination. I may have over steeped the second brew. The bitterness going away while I’m drinking the tea. Now the smokiness is increasing as the tea cool.

WATER USED: Selection 100% Natural Spring Water

Flavors: Bitter, Earth, Honey, Smoke, Smooth, Sweet

Preparation

Loose leaves put in a tea bag then poured in a glass tea cup. Liquor is medium opaque and like a brown sugar colour.

Brew #1 3 minutes: A sweet cocoa dark chocolate taste with a slight malty flavour. It is a smooth tea with just a bit of dryness.

Brew #2 4 minutes: A little bit citrusy with cocoa notes. Sweeter as the tea cool down but more dryness than the first brew. The citrusy notes disappear quickly as the liquor cool.

WATER USED: Nestle Pure Life

Preparing another tea to help me finish my day. Just comeback from helping a neighbour and did some grocery, very cold temperature (-22C).

Loose leaves put inside a tea bag then poured in a tea glass. A dark-red brown opaque liquor. Smell mildly like bergamot.

A little bit malty with a medium bergamot flavour and I can definitely taste the black tea. A smooth earl-grey blend, with a hint of orange finish taste.

Flavors: Bergamot, Malt, Orange

A pale yellow-lime colour a bit cloudy with a little of small particles. A pleasent gentle creamy peachy vegetal smell.

Poured into a glass vessel

1st step 3 min. and 2nd step 3 min. 30 sec.

A juicy green mouthfeel, smooth and grassy-vegetal sweet-bitter tea. At the second sip, there is a trace of a nutty flavor. The tea change into a marine like taste and the grassy flavour doesn’t overwhelm — lightly dry.

At the second brew, it makes my hands, arms, chest, stomach warm and sweaty.

WATER USED: Nestle Pure Life

Flavors: Bitter, Cut Grass, Green, Marine, Nutty, Smooth, Sweet, Vegetal

Smells: sweet, cookie, citrusy and spicy

It start with a sweet cookie flavour then the grounded black pepper appear. After a few sips, the cookie flavour is weaker and seem to change into cloves. Now, it is a mix of cloves, cookie and spices flavours. A well balanced smooth chai with a hint of a woody flavour.

Smell: Bergamot

4 min 30 Sec., 210F, 1.2 spoon of loose leaves put in a tea bag.
Served in a glass vessel, a red brown liquor

I used a different bottle water this time.

Sweet bergamot slightly bitter with a grounded pepper flavour — a slight dryness that increased over time. If brew for around 3 minutes with slightly less tea leaves the bergamot will be weaker and probably without the grounded pepper flavour (see previous tasting note).

Water Used: Naya Natural Spring Water.

Flavors: Bergamot, Bitter, Black Pepper, Sweet

Preparation
Boiling 4 min, 30 sec 1 tsp 8 OZ / 250 ML

Brew #3: 1 min. : Sweet, dry, bitter, slightly tobacco and earthy feeling. As the tea cool down all flavours are weaker.
