drank Chai by Tea Palace
48 tasting notes

I felt I needed an injection of caffeine after my T2 herbal and fruit samples, so I picked up this little caddy of Chai from Tea Palace that arrived in the post today.

This is really nice. It holds just the right amount of spice for me. I can clearly pick out the ginger and cloves, and the cardamom is also quite strong. I don’t get much cinnamon, but there’s a slight zing from the orange peel right at the end.

I don’t think I love this enough to buy more when I finish my caddy off, but I like it a lot!

Flavors: Cardamom, Cloves, Ginger, Orange Zest, Spicy

Preparation
Boiling 4 min, 0 sec 1 tsp

Bio

Hi, my name is Amy and I live in Rotherham, in the UK.

I grew up drinking tea (my mother was addicted – she didn’t leave the house in the morning unless she’d had at least three cups!), though it was strictly your basic, everyday brew we enjoyed; huge boxes of teabags stocked up on every week.

Having dabbled with loose leaf teas in my twenties, I confess to being somewhat underwhelmed. Though, of course, my uneducated tea-brain wasn’t aware of brewing temperatures, steeping times and suchlike back then.

Now in my thirties, I’m rediscovering the delight of tea and enjoying the journey. My taste buds are expanding on a daily basis and I’m grasping more and more about the art of tea. I’m still a tea novice, with much to learn and appreciate, but I’m adoring the ride and looking forward to widening my tea collection.

I also enjoy reading, cross-stitch, knitting, gardening, my allotment plot and television.
