Sounds loooooooovely!!!

teaplz 16 years ago

Yum! Everyone says this one is delicious, so… yay! Can’t wait to try this one! It’s definitely on deck.

takgoti 16 years ago

I don’t know why I didn’t realize that this was a Ceylon tea. I know I’ve read the description before. Hurm.

Anyhow, I ordered a tin of this when I got the sampler, thanks to a previous swap with Carolyn. I second the good thoughts.

Cofftea 16 years ago

I hate when my ingenuiTEA leaks! The bottom can stick in the up position pretty easily… at least my heavily used one lol.

Ricky 16 years ago

If I had a huge tin of this I’d share it with everyone.

I don’t even know how it leaked. Actually, I do know how. I was making some breakfast and part of the base was sitting against a towel. I was just watching the water fall onto the floor until I realized I wasn’t water but tea that was spilling.

Kitch3ntools 16 years ago

>.< ive done that exact same thing Ricky! but i didnt notice untill it was all gone! stepping in way understeeped tea made me think my cat had an accident untill i saw it dripping from my counter. h8 when that happens!

Cofftea 16 years ago

I end up dumping not only the whole cup but the tea leaves too because it not only screws up the flavor concentration for that cup, but also the steeping times for additional infusions.

I love surprising people w/ tea! Go Bethany:) It’s so much fun when they’re absolutely shocked to get it. I shocked a woman from church w/ Adagio teas when she had H1N1 and my best friend w/ mandarin matcha for National Hot Tea Month.

Ricky 16 years ago

Well, I knew she was sending it, but I’ve been so busy lately that I totally forgot that she was sending me tea. That and she didn’t put her first name on the package. I was like ummm did I order something that I didn’t realize =]

Robert Godden 16 years ago

Tell me about National Hot Tea Month. It sounds a bit odd.

I too liked this one from Adagio! Except I tried the decaf version, and I’m a little scared to go non-decaf now (heard the decaf was slightly sweeter).

Ricky 16 years ago

Would you like some =] It would help me clear out some Adagio tins :D

That’s my poison of choice as well at Starbucks, though I’m hardly in there anymore. I might have to pick up some syrup and make some myself now that you’ve put this up here. Sweet.

Ricky 16 years ago

Haha, do you know what syrup they replaced melon with? I’m guessing they are using classic now? I still have a bottle of melon left and then I’ll be out =(

takgoti 16 years ago

No, I’ll have to ask next time I’m in, which might not be for a while. This is a maybe spring mostly summer drink for me anyhow.

Jillian 16 years ago

I order their iced-tea lemonades on a pretty routine basis – they’re cheaper than most of their other drinks. My favorite is the green tea one though.

Cofftea 16 years ago

I’ve ordered their passion lemonade, but I prefer unsweetened ginger green lemonade. I tell them to use as many tea bags as they would for a regular iced tea. (2 for a tall, 3 for a grande and 4 for a grande). The exception to the unsweetened part is during the holidays when they have gingerbread syrup.- I don’t add lemonade to that though. Funny we went to Starbucks on the same day!:)

Ricky 16 years ago

@takgoti, Agreed. I usually get this drink or fraps in the summer, but I was staring at the menu for a while. I really couldn’t decide what I wanted. Actually I just realized I could have bought a Vanilla Rooibos Latte or a some loose tea bag. They have satchels now! WohOooO =)

@Jillian, really? You like the green tea lemonade the best? I tried it once and I didn’t like it. My green tea lemonade always comes out really bitter. I guess the green tea doesn’t subdue the lemonade enough for me. I like the black tea lemonade actually. I usually get that over passion, because I find passion to be tooooooo sweet.

@Cofftea, unsweetened is a no no for me. I’ve tried it a few times, but cold drinks need to be cold for me. I love their green ginger tea hot.

Cofftea 16 years ago

@Ricky what does unsweetened vs unsweetened have to do w/ temperature?

Ricky 16 years ago

It’s just a matter of preference. I like hot drinks to be natural and cold drinks to be sweet. I mean you’d never drink juice hot.

Cofftea 16 years ago

Ok gotcha. That isn’t what you said. You said “Cold drinks need to be cold for me”. And I thought, “Well duh”. So I thought you meant it like how I don’t like cold pizza. It starts hot so it should stay hot. I can’t stand this one hot, it burns my throat.

Jillian 16 years ago

@Ricky: They must be making yours wrong because it’s not bitter at all to me, but it has a rather clean sort of taste to it. Maybe they just add more syrup at my Starbucks! :D

ashmanra 15 years ago

This sounds so good I had to go buy some Tazo tonight. I think I am going to mix mine with lemonade and grenadine.

PMS! Ricky, you’re a genius! :D

TeaEqualsBliss 16 years ago

OMG! I’m not seeing the PMS thingie!!!! Which browser do you use!? I use Firefox

TeaEqualsBliss 16 years ago

oh wait…you have to go to that persons page and there is a send message by their name…I will send you one and send me one back – if ya can!? Pretty please!?

Ricky 16 years ago

@Angrboda you have a PM, via the PMS!

@TeaEqualsBliss sooo going to send you a PM and it should arrive on your PMS. I’m using Firefox as well.

TeaEqualsBliss 16 years ago

Thx!

Carolyn 16 years ago

Log out and log back in and you’ll see an Inbox in the top menu.

Ricky 16 years ago

Strange, I didn’t have to log in and out.

Carolyn 16 years ago

@Ricky Perhaps you are not using Firefox on a Mac? Different browsers and different operating systems deal with things differently.

Ricky 16 years ago

But that I am =] Shrugs, oh well, at least TeaEqualsBliss ended up finding the PM system =]

Carolyn 16 years ago

Hmmm. Odd then. I had to log out and log back in.

denisend 16 years ago

Wow, you really had me there for a second… PMS… but wait, Ricky is a guy, isn’t he???

Angrboda 16 years ago

Ricky, I know! It’s fantastic. Takes a bit of the bite out of the unpleasant sort of PMS.
How funny our conversations will look to an outsider from here on out. “Hey did you get anything on your PMS yet?” or “TeaEqualsBliss had trouble locating her PMS.” :p

Ricky 16 years ago

Nods nods, I’m a guy, but I just couldn’t resist the PMS.

I mean it’s about time that we had our PMS. Don’t you think ;)

3.7oz??? Haha that’s a really random, exact water volume.

Cofftea 16 years ago

But at least their compensating for the low weight that’s common for a lot of bagged teas. What is the weight of this one, anyway?

Cofftea 16 years ago

Oops *they’re. Where did the delete button go so I could retype? (since there’s no edit button)

Ricky 16 years ago

Have you forgotten I don’t own a scale =]

It’s a pyramid bag and it seems pretty full. I’d say one teaspoon.

Cofftea 16 years ago

Oh yeah, oops;) You should get one so I don’t have to forget hehe.

Ricky 16 years ago

One day I will surprise you =]

Auggy 16 years ago

The 3.7oz is converted from the 110mL Lupicia (being a Japanese (and metric-based) company) uses as their cup size. They put the weight of their tea bags (on the box label) at 3g per bag and they suggest 2.5 – 3 grams per 110mL cup for loose. They are definitely a leaf-heavy company.

fcmonroe 16 years ago

I’ve been drinking their tea loose, and it’s wonderful. Maybe try less water. It might make a difference.

I don’t have the paradise green (yet). So I can’t speak about this tea directly, but their yuzu is good!

Ricky 16 years ago

I’m going to try Breakfast Earl Grey in a bit with 4oz of water. I’m scared! I think I rather have a diluted EG!

CHAroma 14 years ago

I’ve had the exact same experience with Lupicia’s flavored teas. They have an amazing aroma but then are never as flavorful upon tasting. Still, a few of their blends are stellar.
