drank Wild Blueberry by Octavia Tea

I got a sample of this as part of a Christmas present and tried it last night. I should probably say that I have a cold so my senses may be dulled!
This is one of the darker white teas that I’ve seen, both the dry leaves and the steeped tea. It smells amazing and light and extremely blueberry-y, but it didn’t really taste that way. It was a very light and mild taste, the blueberry was there, and a little of the white tea, but it was a little mehh for me. The second steep was basically the same, maybe a bit lighter still. But I’m looking forward to trying this one without having a cold!

I’m visiting home now for the holidays and I made a pot of this. My dad tried it and really liked it, he said he also thought it got creamier as it cooled. Still love this tea!

This is amazing. I want to drink this forever. FOREVER.
This is a forest in a mug. I feel like I’ve known this taste my whole life even though this is the first time I’ve experienced it in tea form. Maybe my affinity springs from the desire to return to the woods after living in Toronto for 2 years? Anyway, this tea is not one to throw in a thermos and have on the go, you need to sit down and close your eyes!

Preparation
Boiling 8 min or more

I’ve been really skeptical to try this one because of the price (10 bucks for 26 grams? eep!).

Erin

Yeah I know, especially since you use so much in one cup! But in my opinon it’s totally worth it :)

Like someone else said, this is absolutely like cake batter. I was so surprised! Mulberry leaves = cake batter?? Huh.

This was my first ever tea from David’s! It looks and tastes lovely and sweetly floral, with a bit of cinnamon thrown in. I drank it today with some agave. This tea is great for a calm start in the morning, a nice break in the afternoon, or a soothing before-bed tea. Overall a very beautiful tea!

Yum yum yum! This tea is so sweet. ALMOST too sweet. It tastes like candied orange peels! There’s also something in there that I can’t place but is very candy-like and sweet and lovely. This is really not like any other tea I’ve tried! And not the least bit bitter on the second steep.

I bought this tea because it smelled AMAZING dry. I was a little apprehensive about trying it though, because I really didn’t like Forever Nuts (I know I’m in the minority here— I think it’s the beetroot! But that’s a tale for another time).
So I brewed it up, and I wasn’t immediately impressed— there’s not much aroma to the tea, I was expecting a lot more. But then I tasted it, and it tastes just like the dry tea smells! There’s a nice cozy round nutty flavour in there, and the green tea doesn’t make it grassy or bitter at all. Personally I can’t seem to taste the pineapple at all, but I have no problem eating the pieces of it straight from the bag!
For me this is not so much a “put in a travel thermos and take to the library to study” kind of tea, more of a “put in a big mug and sit inside by the window on a cold day wearing a sweater” kind of tea.

I completely agree about the window+sweater with this one, I might go make some now… Glad to know that I’m not the only one who picks fruit/nuts out of the bag to eat :-)

First, the black tea and citrus. Then… vanilla BOOM! Such a full flavour, tried this straight, gonna add some milk next time just for fun. This was in my David’s advent calendar, I think I’ll pick some up on my way to work tonight (oh the joys of working down the street from a David’s store! My wallet is crying). This tea is nice and creamy, maybe even one of my favourites from David’s so far! Makes me feel sophisticated having this in the morning.
Edit: Unpleasant aftertaste on the second steep! This may be a one-steep tea for me.

University student and relatively new tea convert. It all started several months ago when my mom bought me a tin of The Glow from David’s. Now I want to try ALL THE TEAS.

If you know of any excellent tea places around downtown Toronto, let me know! I’ve found a few but am always looking for more.
