Tea club. This maocha is “in the rough” or in it’s natural state after processing. Same material as 26 Hour Roast Milan Maocha

Sipdown

This reminds me a lot of an IPA. Not exactly bitter, but dancing on the edge of bitterness. There were floral/wood notes, with a hint of citrus rind. At the very first steep I learned that this one cannot take high temperatures or a long steep time (not right away, at least). It’s a no go. I backed off quickly, which helped a lot. However, after the sixth steep, it started to lose flavor. I suppose the tea to water ratio didn’t guarantee a long session (5g/120 ML).

It was good, but I enjoyed the roasted Dancong much much more; however, I drank that much more quickly.

Album Pairing: The Protomen Act II: The Father of Death

Note on this band/album: My boss knew that I listen to all things music. They knew that I love to read, write, and nerd out from time-to-time. They suggested this group to me, and within a month, I may have listened to it over 10 times. ;P

I have no idea what this album corresponds to but it’s moving. Dang.

Also, hello from a former denizen of SW and NE Ohio :)

MadHatterTeaDrunk

Derk-It’s a follow-up to their first album…Essentially, it’s a Megaman-esq saga. The first album has the hero killed, but the Father of Death is a squeal, so to speak. The rebirth of the hero, yet, rebirth of the antagonist, too. It plays like a rock opera, with a full story between the two albums.

Secondly, I’m about 25 minutes west of the Football Hall of Fame.

Ok, this is amazing. Thanks for the introduction!

I lived in Summit and ran around mostly in Stark and Portage. Glad there’s a dedicated tea drinker out that way.

I’m drinking the March tea club on time. This tea is super fresh (picked late Feb 2019).
Dry leaf has lots of stems and leaves that remind me of white tea. Smells of linen and looks unfinished. According to the info, this tea is in its natural state after processing, with stems and large leaves. It’s missing the final roast. Considered unfinished product and would not normally be available.
Drinking this western today. My variable temperature kettle broke, I have have one that just boils right now.
3 steeps, 1-2 min, approx 200F
Aroma – waft of wood, floral. Taste: floral, orchid, tingly, creamier as it cools, initially it had no depth, super-floral aftertaste
I enjoyed this educational tea.
